Exhibition old car Montauban (France), april 16
bryankazmer replied to sebastienbuick's topic in General Discussion
I agree French has the most - it also has more words of non-Latin origin than Spanish or Italian, and that may partially be why. Italian is pretty much pronounce everything. A French friend who had learned English fluently used this example to show how English has its own messes. "Ghoti" Pronounced "fish" - "gh" as in "enough", "o" as in "women", "ti" as in "imagination." -

All have English corruption of the French (the last T is not pronounced in French). Tahl-bo sent from near Detroit, capital of corrupted French names -

I agree with not looking out of place - it was a period look. The very wide whites on postwar cars look very inappropriate. -
thanks - seems to have been a server transition

Automobile restoration shop help - from the inside
bryankazmer replied to duigoose's topic in General Discussion
I suppose this falls under "trust", but terms of "cash" also result from a history of not paying your past invoices on time. Chasing receivables is time you'd rather spend elsewhere. Some companies actually reward their payables people for how long over terms they are. All good fun until that stop ship notice arrives. My experience is that a customer who pays late on 30 days, will still be late if you give 60, or 90 days. He either has cash flow problems or just plans to cheat as much as he can get away with. -

And that OEM's net 90 is often more like another week or two at least. Reputations get around - known for poor dealings with suppliers. I agree, not a model to emulate. -
PPG sold their glass manufacturing to Fuyao Glass.

Use an appropriate balance between marketing and accuracy in car descriptions. "Restored" cars do not have later engines, custom interiors, etc. If part of a larger auction, informing when cars will be auctioned is very helpful in planning travel. Chandelier bids and plants may be legal in your state, but a big turn-off to bidders when detected.

I understand that sometimes the original material is unobtainable, but period materials instead of shiny polyester plush from the 1980's, please. The workmanship is fine. -

Interesting video. I do not see the point of "sharp"(sport) mode in driverless operation, though. -

You could print the master from which to make the mold perhaps, but that's just the beginning of making a gear.
