  1. Or possibly this is an older building which was shingled to cover deteriorating siding, and those bulges are covering a Victorian architectural element. It's interesting no matter which!
  2. Looks like a nice usable car! Wish there were more interior pictures. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/south-san-francisco-1935-chevy-stadard/7698819147.html 1935 chevy standard 207 six cylinder 3speed rebuilt transmission new clutch pilot bushing good breaks rebuilt caurburator, starter, generator excellent body new tires 2nd owner California car $18000 650 400 4174
  3. I think of all the cars we are interested in, probably more than half are tucked away in some state of suspended animation in a garage or shed some where. Last year I posted pictures of the lady across the street's grandfather's 33 Imperial, full of boxes in her garage.
  4. You could drop a couple 100K on it and have a Ferrari Club track day car I guess...but there are probably cheaper and better ways to do that.
  5. Actual history would make a huge difference. How are these different than "professional cars"? Although this was just posted, the link says "No longer available".
  6. I'm pretty sure this had been for sale for a couple of years. I think I talked to him pre-covid. Seems a decent car but the location is a long way to go look, and the price is pretty high for a 6 cyl DeSoto sedan https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/genoa-1930-desoto-sedan/7694341341.html 1930 DeSoto sedan runs and drives, the car is in good condition. email: 9d745d279cff3c56b2bbc813c2990a40@sale.craigslist.org
  7. I the new ad the wheels look even worse! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/pittsburg-1931-chevy-window-coupe/7697285711.html (925) 783-9803
  8. Going on Bring A Trailer...I wonder where it will end up (Probably not $38K!) More pics in ad https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/d/san-francisco-spectacular-all-original/7698246640.html This 1941 Packard One-Ten Business Coupe has 12,000 original miles, presents in gorgeous original condition, and starts, runs, and drives with ease every time. The vehicle sports original paint in two-tone brown and light cream, a fully-functional interior, and a beautiful patina across the chrome and paintwork on the outside. We are preparing to list the vehicle on Bring-A-Trailer, but have decided to first field local offers here in San Francisco. If you want to come take a look, please send a text to me directly at (Four One Five) 506-7978. Serious inquiries only, price is firm. Cash, Wire Transfer, and Cashiers Checks accepted.
  9. This a lot of one of these, but it does look nice. Is that interior correct? Much more text and many more pics in ad. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/d/san-francisco-1947-frazer-manhattan/7696483817.html From the first year’s production by the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation, Audrey’s condition is nothing short of extraordinary and shows a lifetime of careful maintenance and care with incredibly lustrous paint, pristine gleaming chrome and stunning interior condition. Even her rubber seals are in lovely supple condition. Her Continental 3.7L engine starts and shuts off quickly, runs reliably and smoothly with strong power in all gears. Her transmission shifts quickly and smoothly through all gears including the electric overdrive and her suspension is tight and quiet. - Underbody and sheet metal are rust-free and complemented by unmarked chrome bumpers and near-flawless original glass. Rare for her age, there is not a single piece of trim that is missing. - All power and vacuum accessories including her electric overdrive and wipers along with exterior/interior lights, cowl fan, heater fan and horn work as intended. - She comes with two keys, original books and manuals along with additional background information about the brand.
  10. I think only about 20% of the cars that interest us are visible at any time. The other 80% are sitting somewhere and only appear when that person passes. I posted my elderly neighbor's box covered '33 Imperial some months ago, I also know of a barn full of Fiats from the 50's and 60's, just collecting dust. Years ago, I read that Groucho Marx's '31 Mercedes was discovered in the area. I think what ever you dream of, it's probably in someone's garage or storage shed within 100 miles of you.
  11. On the one hand, you hate to read these stories, but on other hand I hope to leave my kids with a mess like this, because it would mean I was active right up to the end. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds/cto/d/delta-central-1939-lasalle-cadillac/7694092595.html Selling my father-in-law's 1939 LaSalle. When he passed away it went to my brother in law who started a restoration. He pulled the engine for rebuilding and sent it to a machine shop where they stripped the engine down. While they had the engine he went into the hospital for about 2 month and when he got out, he lost all interest in the car He purchased an engine over-haul kit from Kanter's and was going to do the re-build himself (the kit lists at US$2454.74) .Included in sale So I have a partly disassembled LaSalle, that needs a home and someone with the interest to re-assemble it Asking $8,000 or best offer. Please contact me for additional information. (604) 704-8696

  13. That's what the ad says! Must be a rare model....Hope they took more care with the car than they did with the ad. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/san-mateo-1925-buick-beluxe/7694271313.html Runs and Drives Piece of American History Old school Wooden Wheels Head turner Reasonable Offers will be considered in person no offers over the phone Call me to setup a time to meet and check it out (650) 347-6060
  14. Back where these were about 15 years old, I remember several that were Air Force surplus. The local airport had a one in their maintenance fleet, and a guy I knew had another one. Possible the result of all the base closures in California. Not duals however.
  15. I never understood why GM sometimes used Clutch Heads.
  16. Nice to see actual originality. San Francisco garages are damp places with salty air. more pics in ad https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/hercules-1942-cadillac-barn-find-great/769398255 1942 Cadillac series 62 4 door. Pulled out of a SF garage after being parked 40 years ago. At the time fuel drained. And placed on blocks. New Fuel pump, tires, plugs wires, runs and drives great. New exhaust now whisper quite. Last pre war Cadillac. Interior is original and amazing. Chrome cleaned up well. (510) 367-1701
  17. Not a fan of the color but looks like a nice car. Certainly "all the money" as they say, but not as silly a price as some we see..... I've always thought the 1930 and before top tier Chryslers and 6 cylinder Imperials were under valued.
  18. Think how easy it would be to find in the Home Depot parking lot!
  19. "virgin car"? must mean the six kids from the second marriage have now left home. Once again.... $95K and NO AIR CLEANER!
