You really can see things in the UK that don't happen here and this is a great example. I remember a mostly Ferrari event at Laguna Seca about 20 years ago, but these days they are all locked away in air conditioned vaults. The UK also has an unbelievable pre-war hill climb series that draws hundreds of cars.

I think the Cobra crowd has that category covered, although they have a very firm grip on which ones are "real" and which are "air cars". Unfortunately, if it weren't for the "replicas" or cars with complicated provenance many historic racing fields would be mighty slim.

Looks like a sound example of a great car, but the price seems very high....(probably a little high even if it could run and drive). https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/d/san-jose-1938-cadillac-lasalle-coupe/7662867324.html 1938 Cadillac LaSalle coupe 15000 obo needs full restoration complete car original engine and transmission engine is not locked up Zero cancer only surface rust (408) 401-7169

1976 MGB ROADSTER - $4,500 (Solvang CA)

I'm not aware of a set service life on any catalytic converter! The whole concept of a chemical catalyst is it's not consumed in the reaction. Maybe if it were made by Lucas.... -

In 1976 all the automakers were struggling to meet the new smog regulations. MG put this rather charming clock-work box in the middle of the speedometer cable which claims to track the useful life of the catalytic converter. I don't know of any other automaker who even considered this! -
1919 Dodge touring $20,000/not mine

I know there is an active club in Northern California, so if the price is right there will be some interest. I don't know where people come up with these silly prices! There's currently a Model T coupe, nice but nothing special, restored sometime years ago, offered on CL for $35,000. The only way it could be worth that much is if it was previously owned by Steve McQueen or Elvis! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/hayward-1926-ford-model-coupe/7661811385.html -
1926 Chrysler model 70 $12,500- Manchester, CT
Leif in Calif replied to supercub's topic in "Not Mine" Automobiles For Sale
More pictures would be good...also you should put it on the Chrysler buy/sell forum. Looks very nice and fairly priced. -
I'll try it. I probably better knock the corners off the chisel... aluminum is soft and although it will no doubt need a lot of filler anyway, I don't need scratches too. Thanks

I need to remove lots of old paint from my '51 Simca 8. It's aluminum...what do you think is the best way? Thanks!

If you want a car that has good parts support and an active club, MG is right in there with Model As and Ts. -

OK, wrong engine, but to doesn't appear too "ruined". Did REO use Continental? Were there any bad looking cars in 1933? It doesn't seem so! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/stockton-1933-reo-3w-coupe-rumble-seat/7660940388.html Up for sell is a modified 1933 Reo 3 window coupe - engineswapped out for a GM 250 6 cylinder with auto transmission. Condition of engine and tranny unknown - car appears to have last been on the road 2005. Car is solid with some surface rustbit no cancer that I have found. It has a rumble seat that I have been unable to open - believe something is blocking the deck lid. The hood is currently off the car although the photos show it on.Please note that there is no pink for the car - bill of sell only. Car was purchased out of an estate where the prior owner had died - no perwork could be found. Total REO production, all models wasaround 3400 - fairly rare car even if modified. email: 4b233dd1d6fe363fb1c0d9a8092deada@sale.craigslist.org

Hi All! New blood here with a '28 Chrysler
Leif in Calif replied to ECCO Machine's topic in General Discussion
The Maxwell engine was revised by Chrysler in 1927 with better cooling of the exhaust ports. I've never seen one, but my sources say there was a "red head" option that had a higher compression ratio and a much better combustion chamber with more modern turbulent geometry. I drive a car with 2 wheel brakes...it's fine at the speeds it's capable of, you just need to pay attention! If you swap in that Jeep motor, you will suddenly become aware of the limitations of the chassis.
