  1. There's '49 Cadillac Coupe on the Not Mine forum. It's such a beautiful design, but I think the visor spoils it. Certainly it's a big drag, aerodynamically speaking. Why were they popular? Did it have the typical "flip down" interior visors we have today? When did they become common? I had a '46 Chevy pickup at one time, and you couldn't see traffic lights because the top of the windshield was just a little above your horizontal line of sight. On the Caddy, you'd need to open the door and lean out to see it.
  2. Been for sale for a full year so they decided to make a big price reduction! Now $16,250! ($500 less) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/san-rafael-1937-oldsmobile-37-door/7683584416.html email: 20eba036ab703b28af438272ae91e1d8@sale.craigslist.org
  3. Original owner's family...condition doesn't say much for them! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/valley-springs-1949-cadillac-coupe/7683437153.html The 1st Motor Trend Car of the Year. This Caddy has never left the family and has always been garaged. Seat covers have given up, but the seat cushions are still good. Motor rebuilt with only a few hundred miles on it, but it is not starting now. Fuel or Starter issue. My great Aunt ordered all the extras; windshield visor, spot light, heated seats. email: 18784f9ae32333049aea51b0ab33b148@sale.craigslist.org

  7. Seems a fair price... https://losangeles.craigslist.org/ant/cto/d/lancaster-1928-dodge-victory-six/7682961711.html Beautiful older restoration. Car starts and runs very well. All 4 tires were replaced about 2 years ago. Vehicle has come in first place at several car shows in the past, and it draws a lot of attention when we take her out on the road. Being that this car is over 95 years old, it does have a leak or two. But as Henry Ford once said " If it ain't leaking, it's out of oil." Ha Ha. One of the benefits of owning a car of this vintage is the fact that it never needs to be smogged. The only reason we're parting with her is because we need the space in our garage. Asking 15,000 or best offer. (661) 547-8154

  10. I wonder how the A/C affects performance. I once had the misfortune to own a '75 Audi 100LS, and if you hit the A/C switch while on the freeway, it was like a sudden massive head wind.
  11. 12. Silly ad copy and I'd like an engine picture but it seems tastefully done. The funny thing is that very few people in Albany CA would have A/C in there houses. It's the center of the summer fog belt. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/el-cerrito-beautiful-upgraded-1931/7679711000.html This amazing & restored classic Model A is available now from a private collection. This classic Ford has remained with the same family for decades and now is available for the first time since it was subjected to a nut and bolt restoration. 14. You would think someone could see that much value in it, just for parts.
  15. I guess (based on the paperwork on the windshield) that this person bought it at auction and is now trying to flip it? Definitely a desirable car, but obviously needing a fair amount of TLC.
  16. There was a very similar '23 Screen Side a few weeks ago at the same price...this one looks better! I do wish they wouldn't suggest "Hot Rod Build!" https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/santa-rosa-1923-dodge-brothers-screen/7681781720.html 1923 DODGE BROTHERS SCREEN SIDE PICK UP TRUCK CENTURY OLD!! 17. No information on condition but it looks like a good deal! (more pics in ad) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/hildale-1965-corvair/7681933483.html# Garage kept, 1 owner. 39,000 original miles. Beautiful car. Grandpas car. $8500 obo. Call jack at(435)313-4711 if interested.
  18. Was "Brothers" still in the name in '29? The Silver Dome has a lower compression 6 cylinder flathead so certainly not the first Hemi. This 4 cylinder is an improved version on the Maxwell 4. I do think it's a neat and usable vehicle! https://boise.craigslist.org/cto/d/emmett-1929-dodge-delivery-van/7677792419.html 1929 Dodge Brothers Bread Truck. Frame off restoration. 4 cylinder flat head "Silver Dome", so this is really an early Hemi. 3 speed, 4 wheel hydraulic brakes. Runs well. This truck came out of La Pine, Oregon in the early seventies and a complete restoration was completed around 2000. Also included is a separate 6 cylinder with 4 speed (needs to be rebuilt) and numerous boxes of spare parts. This truck has been driven on several tours, but total mileage on restoration is easily less than 5000 miles. $22,500.00 OBO...A restoration like this can NOT be done for the price of this van! This has fantastic potential for a mobile advertisement for your small business. "Hostess Cake" decal is easy on and off transparency. (208) 963-1181

  21. Back on CL at $19,900 but now they say they will take best offer. I'm sure they will feel they have given their dad's wonderful car away when it finally sells. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/santa-rosa-1931-plymouth-pa-thrift/7681310357.html email: 5e699a433097334198c3e32bd20ffac7@sale.craigslist.org
  22. I understand! I lived in the small mountain town of Truckee CA when I was young. I would scrape ice from the windshield pretty much September through May and there was one year that I only had to mow the lawn once!
