There’s way too much info on this car to type about, so if you’re a serious buyer give me a call at 503 752 0771.
  3. I guess you could get a few hundred dollars back by selling those awful wheels....(more pics in ad) https://yakima.craigslist.org/cto/d/yakima-1938-plymouth-coupe/7682667560.html 1938 PLYMOUTH BUSINESS COUPE NEW PAINT NEW 22” TIRES / WHEELS ORIGINAL 6 CYLINDER MOTOR MANUAL 3 SPEED TRANSMISSION 6 VOLT SYSTEM NOTE: This car runs and drives great. 4. You know what they say: "Everting old is new again".
  5. I love the disc wheels....still for sale...same price. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/d/scottsdale-1925-dodge/7688641208.html email: 88b8894583fe38cfb645036f7ac14361@sale.craigslist.org
  6. No info but interesting car and history. Murdock was an advocate of a plant based diet. He is currently age 100...Maybe he's on to something! (but is it worth it?) https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/d/la-jolla-rare-1950-nash-ambassador/7689814165.html Owned by billionaire David H Murdock, complete car, Clean Cal title. When you respond with your real phone number, I'll get back to you, otherwise no. email: ef210068f56033ed8d1c8bbced26829d@sale.craigslist.org
  7. Not the color I would pick but it sure looks like a well cared for and usable example! (much more info and pics in ad) https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/grass-valley-1951-packard-200/7689481733.html Starts up and runs well. Does not over heat on a hot day. I have driven it from Grass Valley to Tahoe over old route 40 and back several times. Doors don’t sag when opened. All windows work. All lights and turn signals work. The floor boards were replaced before I got it. Brakes work well and Emergancy brake too. Heater blower works. Tires are old but fairly new and I have driven on them. Does not smoke or burn oil. All badges and logos are on car. Has a Mafia approved three body trunk.
  8. Lots of expensive TLC required but it does appear to be truly original. More pics in ad https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/sebastopol-1955-nash-statesman/7689016278.html Entirely complete Original Condition stored indoors. Original key fobs. Tools. Two previous owners. Issues: needs engine work-one cylinder shot. Front seat driver-side worn out. Rust as shown. May be open to a trade of some kind. email: 179e35767ae137d1ac8b75e4177f4c30@sale.craigslist.org
  9. The movie Art and Craft, is about a very odd person who did exactly that and "donated" his work to many famous museums!
  10. Right you are Wayne! It's the American way! I recently read that there were 3.4 million cars registered in the US in 1916 but by 1929 that number had zoomed to 23.1 million. I remember when personal computers first came out in the late 80's there were hundreds of start-ups making them. Mine came from Radio Shack! There was a period about 2008 when I received more than 5 calls a week from people who were starting a business to produce photo electric (solar) panels. To quote Jimmy Durante "Everybody wants to get into the act!"
  11. Seems like a great deal to me! I love that exposed valve gear...the total loss oiling helps to keep the dust down in the garage!
  12. According to the Standard Catalog, the engine is Continental and most components were purchased. Body design by Colonel Fredrick Cardway who owned the company. We was interested in export, so they were all right hand drive. Looks nice, probably another instance where rare does not equal valuable.
  13. Some years ago I read about a GTO owner who said when ever the car had to be transported by air, he went on the same plane. That way, if something happened, it wouldn't matter.
  14. That curved thing in the back might be to hold the brandy keg.
  15. Now $18,900...I guess that's a lesson on how hard it is to sell a modified car. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/d/chandler-1929-model-speedster-boat-tail/7688326721.html New email: f4ded1a2632d39928406a7786a8cc2fb@sale.craigslist.org
  16. I read this ad and thought...this is ridiculous! Then I came to the end: "No project cars!" and it became funny! https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/reno-1951-cadillac-convertible-caddy/7688123168.html Nevada desert car, very little rust with awesome patina. Missing seats, windshield, and top end of 53 engine. Power steering and windows. Off the road for at least 30 years, maybe longer. Bill of sale only. Possible trades for a 1960-70 original Cadillac, Lincoln gold Nevada art cam am or?? No project cars!
  17. I've had the opportunity to attend a a few events in Europe and I really recommend it! So fun to see "new" cars! Here's a couple from last September in Angouleme, a charming walled town about an hour from Paris by TGV.
  18. I would date death at the introduction of "The car or tomorrow", but it was pretty ill before that.
  19. The best thing about a water pump on a T is allows you to point out the "T"'s aren't supposed to need one. Unless you are really up on old cars, you wouldn't realize something we take for granted today isn't present.
  20. Seems like a lot of car for the money! (more pics in ad) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/petaluma-1926-nash/7688142046.html 1926 Nash Ajax sedan. Runs and drives great. Still has original interior. Current tags, clean title. Call me if you have questions.$9,500 (707) 494-0843
  21. It's not the seller's fault this car is worth so much, and to my mind, it was a much better thing to own back in the late 60's when it wasn't worth much at all. I remember seeing on on the street about 1965, and Henry Manny, who was the European reporter for Road & Track Magazine, drove one. He would sometimes refer to it as his "truck like Ferrari". Probably not very comfortable at 25mph.
  22. Makes me think of the red Pierce-Arrow in the Julie Andrews movie Thoroughly Modern Millie!
