  1. 2. Actually running but apparently bot stopping (no brakes) This guy makes me feel better about the state of my garage. https://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/cto/d/kent-model-truck-wagon-runs/7467148053.html 1924 or 1925 Model T truck/wagon. 3. Very cool with those wire wheels and exposed valve gear! Where could I find out more about Northway engines? The wonderful thing about our hobby is there is a never ending stream of arcane cars to learn about.
  4. Not a really desirable model, but I could imagine close to $10K if it were in Southern California.

  6. The owner called it a touring car but as you can see.... the angle of that back seat makes me dizzy! https://boise.craigslist.org/cto/d/boise-1928-buick-touring/7466272938.html Bought this on a whim and made a mistake. She's beautiful but after getting it home it is above my capabilities. Wont even fit in my garage. My loss, your gain. Make a reasonable offer. Does not run.2 Zero 8 58043 double 5
  7. If you are looking at the round tank up high? That is the stock original vacuum fuel pump. That tank has very fancy embossed cursive script of makers name on the front face. I forget what the name was. Then the blue hand oiler is for the valves and other things. Pretty sure this age of Chevy had a thick felt blanket laying on top of valve rockers that you had to keep well oiled, (they never had a valve cover.) I look after an unrestored '25 Chevy that belongs to the city where I live. It has the felt arrangement (replaced by foam) and 2 valve covers. I think you are right that the earlier cars (like the 490) didn't have a valve cover. Amazing when you think about all the dirt roads when they were new. Must have been quite a mess! I thought it looked like there were some lines going to the rocker area in one picture but you can't really see it.
  8. You wonder why this person bought these...maybe they just couldn't pass up "a deal"? It looks like someone has rigged up something to oil the rockers on the Chevy. that would be a good idea, as long as they didn't park in my driveway! https://santabarbara.craigslist.org/cto/d/buellton-1923-chevrolet-superior/7463556712.html (805) 331-2184 This is a very original car in almost time warp condition we have not tried to start it so running condition is unknown bought from an estate and seller could not find the paperwork so for sale with bill of sale or can provide title at buyers expense .Also have a 1915/16 Saxon Roadster in similar condition for $3500 {pics included}Had to take these two cars in a package but not my cup of tea so priced very realisticallymight take a trade for something of similar value ...will make a package deal for bothSteve
  9. That new upholstery looks terrific! In polishing my own stuff, I've found the appearance of the scratch gets better as my acceptance of it gets easier (due to fatigue) until I'm "done".
  10. Very interesting car, but hard to see $20K in this condition. If it was running 7 years ago, it's been a hard 7 years! https://fresno.craigslist.org/cto/d/sanger-1919-cadillac-type-57-victoria/7463359992.html 1919 Cadillac Type 57 Victoria CoupeComplete Project CarIn running condition seven years ago when it was parked.VIN 57GG552$20,000 OBOClean TitleHave passenger's side front fender email: 9fd02e451e673762a159eea7c145630a@sale.craigslist.org

  12. I worked in the glass industry for 45 years, 10 of them with Pilkington (formerly known as LOF) everything above is true, but it takes a tremendous amount of polishing for even the lightest scratch and really makes a mess. Also, you absolutely can break the glass if it gets locally too hot. As long as there's some moisture present you are OK. Even heavy scratches can be removed but you'll be at it for days, and they will be distortion in the glass when you're done because the surfaces will no longer be parallel.
  13. Not Mine You don't see these often...perhaps the Tach was added for street racing? https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/nicasio-1923-durant-star-car-original/7463676706.html Own a 100 year old vintage car!1923 Durant Star Car4 door hard-top sedanExcellent condition, garagedWood spoke wheelsRuns. 14. That was a LOT OF WORK! You'd think they'd pay a little more attention to aesthetics! People pay big money for nicely converted classics, but not when they look like this.
  15. Good start for a big project! https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/original-1936-ford-pheaton-project.1259873/ For Sale is a 1936 Ford 4 Door Pheaton Convertible. It's a stalled out restoration project that really needs to be in the right hands to be finished correctly. It has alot of really good parts and some not so good aspects.First the good: Chassis supposedly has been gone through and cleaned up and restored years ago. Everything looks decent underneath. Still has mechanical brakes. Gas tank looks either new or restored. After the chassis was done, the previous owner moved on to the Fenders and front end sheetmetal. Everything you see thats black has all been body worked and freshly painted. One dent in the driver fender from shelf wear. The underneath of the fenders are as nice as the top. The firewall was also painted at that time. Some new wood is also included with the car. The roof bows look new. The new rear wood is there in pieces, some has been installed. The original front doors wood looks solid and usable, while the rear doors have some wood pieces but will need some pieces. The bad part of the car is basically the rest of the body. The floor must have been gone during restoration so it looks like a donor floor has been added and never finished. The car is just mocked up for pictures so you can see whats there. The pheaton body will need finished and attached to the floor. Not a big deal if you know what your doing, but its out of my league. What you see is what I have for it. The dash is a fiberglass dash with an original glove box door. It does come with an ohio title. The original flathead is there,, dont know anything about it,, was supposed to run, but I doubt it. Dm with any questions or comments. Im selling for my dad, so give him a call. 330 715 3892 Paul. Located near Akron Ohio.
  16. Very nice example and it only takes one buyer to make a deal, but although it probably doesn't cover the restoration costs, I really doubt a sedan is going to sell for that. Here's one in my area that's not quite as nice but is one third the cost ($16.5K) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/d/hollister-1929-graham-paige-615-4dr/7462556512.html Call (831) 801-7375
  17. Probably a nice car in a '90s kind of way but I never understood why it's still a Maserati if it's got that Mitsubishi engine, or why if they have the "Maserati" engine (really just a cylinder head but still cool) it doesn't say Maserati on the engine it in big letters.
  18. At 2,490 Cubic Inches, it would be one heck of an auto engine. There is some similarity to the Packard built Liberty of WWI (designed in conjunction with Elbert Hall of Hall-Scott) but it's basically a new design.
  19. Not Mine (I wish people would try harder with their pictures) https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/d/fallbrook-1924-ford-touring-hardtop/7462848501.html Serious inquires only Please.Beautiful 1924 ford model t for sale. Just replaced the battery and spark plugs, was sitting for 7 months. Was running like a top. Testing waters currently to see if someone is interested in getting it running themselves. It’s in the timing. Overall amazing condition for the car, new roof in the last year TEXT (760) 525-1807
