  1. Very nice car for Model A money! You don't get the Ford's wonderful club network and parts support, but this car has some great features, including a seven main bearing engine, full pressure oiling (with a filter!) and 4 wheel hydraulic brakes.
  2. Yes! In my project management days, I once had some materials near the Oregon border that needed to be shipped ASAP via air freight to avoid a big financial penalty. Try as we might, there was simply no way from that neck of the woods to an airport in a reasonable amount of time.
  3. GM's 2 speed automatic (Powerglide, nick named Powerslide) was a favorite of the drag crowd and in use into the 1970's. The attraction was the high stall speed of the torque converter. I wonder if Packard's could be made more responsive with a different converter.....(no doubt way more trouble than it's worth)
  4. Another seemingly nice car with BAD photos! (more of them in ad) https://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/cto/d/la-mesa-beautiful-1936-buick-special/7730885474.html Simply Gorgeous 1932 Buick in excellent condition. Has nicely-running Buick Straight Eight engine - - -(has more power & torque than a Chevy Master Deluxe) Engine is in correct, factory stock specification, with improvements for reliability. This car has been prepped for long-distance competition in the Great Race ---- It is capable of driving across the United States! Sounds good, does not smoke. Has factory floor-shift 3-Speed. Body is PERFECTLY straight and has zero rust. Has Clean California title. Paint looks impressive & the color is a very pretty Champagne Chocolate with a hint of green. Fabulous! Also has factory correct, original tool kit. All trim is intact & in good shape. All chrome is excellent. Interior is 1936 Factory Original, with easily-removable racing enhancements. Whether you want to cruise/show/ lowrider locally or drive to Florida, she can do it. Will text video on request. Perry, in La Mesa, San Diego. (619) 840-414two

  6. I think we have a new leader in the "worst photos" category! Why even bother to post these! https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/alturas-1956-cadillac/7730734618.html 56 cadillac is in very good condition.exterior is in excelent condition and is complete and original. interior is complete but is in need of complete rennovation. have full set of hubcaps. all glass is good condition except rear door glass has a small crack. I will not return emails . phone calls only. title is on non-op. Engine does run but has a fuel flow problem. Put gas in carb and it runs till gas is gone. I am guessing it needs either a carb rebuild or new fuel pump. (530) 233-2709

  8. No idea if this price is close to right...these often seem to come in flashy colors! (more pics in ad) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/healdsburg-1958-continental-mark-iii-by/7729892799.html 1958 Continental Mark III by Lincoln. All original car. 430 ci. All new refurbished Fuel pump, fuel filter, radiator, complete brake system- Car runs great. Clean Title, current registration, 1958 sales book included Issues: For some reason the car is only starting in Neutral at the moment- not in Park. Crack in small window passenger side. (707) 583-4223
  9. Is that big steel plate on the frame normal? Looks like the high school medal shop class did it in the first week of school.
  10. Delusional price ($40K!) and terrible photos...it seems like it's probably a very nice car. Will the buyer actually take "reasonable" offers? (more bad pics in ad) https://monterey.craigslist.org/cto/d/little-river-1937-chevy-business-coupe/7730958089.html All original 1937 Chevrolet Business Coupe with just 41,000 original miles. Strong 216, 3 speed on the floor and still 6 volt. One family owned for over eighty five years. Original except for a repaint in the early 2000’s. Interior shows wear but complete. Never modified except blinkers added for safety. Comes with lots of extras: re-pop skirts with correct trim, recast banjo wheel, extra fog lights, parking break with optional pull handle, spare fuel filters and original dealer repair manual, waterfall dash trim, clock, radio and CA 1937 YOM plates included. Lots of nice 37-38 coupes around but few with such low original miles or such long ownership. Hard to beat the feeling of pulling up in such an original pipe. Come see it, REASONABLE offers considered, no help needed to sell. email: d216f28065b23470937bb8b4161c1fb5@sale.craigslist.org

  13. One thing that hasn't been mentioned: FOOD! New Mexican food is not Mexican food. New Mexico is pretty unique in that many families have been there for hundreds of years. A few years ago I met a young man there who's family came from Spain during the Inquisition (they are Jewish). Different spices and different dishes. Last year we took a cooking class where they talked about the "terroir" of peppers! (look it up...hard to explain.) Santa Fe was founded approximately the same time in the 1600s as James Town and the other places we normally think of as the beginning of our country. Because New Mexico has remained largely rural and poor, the culture and cuisine has remained mostly intact. Good Eating!
  14. Not my favorite color but looks like a very nice car! (photos make me dizzy!) https://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/cto/d/sun-city-west-1940-buick-special/7730551111.html Older restoration but still looks great. Starts and drives very well. (360) 466-3411
  15. We've certainly seen worse for more money! They ALL ran before they sat! https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/d/san-diego-1948-packard/7730431718.html Car is complete and ran before it sat. Needs paint, chrome, interior and tires. Would make a great lowrider. It is currently non-opped, but the title is clean. I'm asking $2,500 or best offer. (619) 249-4054
  16. You don't often see these "period correct" tires! https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/mulino-ford-deluxe-tudor-door-sedan/7726185856.html Rare untouched original. Entire v8 drivetrain in place, complete with both hard to find engine splash pans. Needs floor and door bottoms. Only glass missing is driver’s door. 17. Still has the original 207 in line 6 engine with 3 speed on the floor. It’s a must see in person. Starts, runs and drives very well. I’ll entertain cash and trade. Offers in person only! 18. This car seems familiar...I wonder if it was posted here some time ago. (I searched but did not find it)
  19. Certainly possible. I used to work for the glass company formerly known as LOF (Libby-Owens-Ford). We made a self cleaning glass, which shed certain types of dirt. Typical application was unban glass canopies. It did need rain to work however, and the chemistry was activated by carbon, so it was great on the soot from diesel exhaust, but didn't work at all on the slat spray from the ocean, or dust from a field.
  20. I'm curious about this running engine! (perhaps when it was parked in 1956?) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/d/hollister-1929-studebaker-commander/7730488166.html 1929 Commander Straight 8, needs TLC Needs a LOT of TLC. L.O.L! Great project or parts car. I have had engine running but comes with no carb or dist. This car needs a full restoration or a parts car. $ 2,850 B/O. Henry 831-two-four-five-9640 Call or Text
  21. No! Although a period correct one could be made from a discarded herring tin.
  22. Could be that the "OBO" would get you close to that.....
