  1. The 7 main six follows the pattern of the first Chryslers, designed by Zeder, Breer and Skelton. That engine was very advanced for it's time (1924) but redesigned with 4 main bearings beginning in 1930. No doubt cheaper to manufacture. The "big" eight used in the Imperial also followed this pattern (9 main bearings!) , where as the smaller eight was more closely related to the redesigned six, which continued in use (with updates) into the late 60's.
  2. much work needed...maybe 30 years ago when this assemblage would have been $1200 and I was younger... The ad shows a contact number but I'm not able to get it (CL Error) https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/d/centralia-1927-buick-master-six-brougham/7726952974.html# For sale is a 1927 Buick master six Brougham. I started work on it but medical condition has stopped my work on it. Does need some metal work, plus also needs some of the wood body frame replaced. Comes with 2 engines, 2 transmissions, newer tires, plus I bought a whole new wiring harness for the car that is made of the same type of materials that the car would have had when it was new. Comes with 2 updraft carburetors, plus several other items I have bought for it. The pictures are decent and gives you an idea what condition it is in. This was a survivor when I got it but at some point in it's life it had a new roof put on it and the job was bad and it leaked hence the rot in the wood frame. In 1927 this was the top of the line for Buick and is a very large 4 door car. The car has a inline OHV 274 ci engine. The 1927 Master six Brougham had a production of only about 119 thousand give or take. While I loathe the word rare, this is an uncommon car to come by these days. It has to my understanding always lived here in Lewis county. If you have further questions please feel free to get a hold of me and ask. Just for added info even though the car pics show no doors on it all 4 are there and intact. email: 94e7113e5c003c90aa5fce942f725ce6@sale.craigslist.org
  3. Silly price ($30k) but it sure looks like fun! More pics (but no more information) in ad https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/d/mulino-1922-dodge-roadster/7731139983.html 1922 dodge roadster. It’s in great shape. Runs and drives. It’s a beautiful old car. Asking $30,000 obo.
  4. This seems like the real deal! https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/d/renton-ford-model-roadster/7731238540.html Very original 1913 model T Roadster. Advertising for neighbor, been sitting in a garage for 40+ years, true barn find, and they have the title. Sitting on flat rotten tires, so pictures are not the best, but it appears to be complete, and totally unrestored. Wood spoke wheels appear to be in very good condition, and all wood parts good. Engine cranks with front crank, not locked up. The acetylene powered headlamps are not on the car, but are intact and included with the car. Sale is as is, where is: will have to be pulled out of the garage and onto a flatbed to be transported away. (206) 396-0634
  5. Another big project for about half the price of a complete running one. Probably lots of good mechanical parts.... https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/citrus-heights-1931-chevrolet-door/7731510624.html 1931 Chevrolet 2 door 5 passenger for sale. Its a project. Does not run or drive. Clean title / non opp registration and original service manual in hand Sat for many years. Soft top is gone, some wood around top need to be replaced but it's complete and decent shape overall minus interior. 7. They may not be...luckily the power applied through them and the speed they attain is also similar to a bicycle.
  8. I have always thought these were the most attractive 50's pickups. I guess that paint isn't primer...just that color. 10. Very nice car for Model A money! You don't get the Ford's wonderful club network and parts support, but this car has some great features, including a seven main bearing engine, full pressure oiling (with a filter!) and 4 wheel hydraulic brakes.
  11. Yes! In my project management days, I once had some materials near the Oregon border that needed to be shipped ASAP via air freight to avoid a big financial penalty. Try as we might, there was simply no way from that neck of the woods to an airport in a reasonable amount of time.
  12. GM's 2 speed automatic (Powerglide, nick named Powerslide) was a favorite of the drag crowd and in use into the 1970's. The attraction was the high stall speed of the torque converter. I wonder if Packard's could be made more responsive with a different converter.....(no doubt way more trouble than it's worth)
  13. Another seemingly nice car with BAD photos! 15. I think we have a new leader in the "worst photos" category! Why even bother to post these! https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/alturas-1956-cadillac/7730734618.html 56 cadillac is in very good condition.exterior is in excelent condition and is complete and original. interior is complete but is in need of complete rennovation. have full set of hubcaps. all glass is good condition except rear door glass has a small crack. I will not return emails . phone calls only. title is on non-op. Engine does run but has a fuel flow problem. Put gas in carb and it runs till gas is gone. I am guessing it needs either a carb rebuild or new fuel pump. (530) 233-2709

  17. No idea if this price is close to right...these often seem to come in flashy colors! (more pics in ad) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/healdsburg-1958-continental-mark-iii-by/7729892799.html 1958 Continental Mark III by Lincoln. All original car. 430 ci. 18. Is that big steel plate on the frame normal? Looks like the high school medal shop class did it in the first week of school.
  19. Delusional price ($40K!) and terrible photos...it seems like it's probably a very nice car. Will the buyer actually take "reasonable" offers? (more bad pics in ad) https://monterey.craigslist.org/cto/d/little-river-1937-chevy-business-coupe/7730958089.html All original 1937 Chevrolet Business Coupe with just 41,000 original miles. Strong 216, 3 speed on the floor and still 6 volt. One family owned for over eighty five years. Original except for a repaint in the early 2000’s. Interior shows wear but complete. Never modified except blinkers added for safety. Comes with lots of extras: re-pop skirts with correct trim, recast banjo wheel, extra fog lights, parking break with optional pull handle, spare fuel filters and original dealer repair manual, waterfall dash trim, clock, radio and CA 1937 YOM plates included. Lots of nice 37-38 coupes around but few with such low original miles or such long ownership. Hard to beat the feeling of pulling up in such an original pipe. Come see it, REASONABLE offers considered, no help needed to sell. email: d216f28065b23470937bb8b4161c1fb5@sale.craigslist.org
  20. Appears to be a nice car which deserves a much better ad! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/d/hollister-1929-studebaker-commander/7730482801.html 1929 Commander Straight 8 Nice throughout. 22. One thing that hasn't been mentioned: FOOD! New Mexican food is not Mexican food. New Mexico is pretty unique in that many families have been there for hundreds of years. A few years ago I met a young man there who's family came from Spain during the Inquisition (they are Jewish). Different spices and different dishes. Last year we took a cooking class where they talked about the "terroir" of peppers! (look it up...hard to explain.) Santa Fe was founded approximately the same time in the 1600s as James Town and the other places we normally think of as the beginning of our country. Because New Mexico has remained largely rural and poor, the culture and cuisine has remained mostly intact. Good Eating!
  23. Not my favorite color but looks like a very nice car! (photos make me dizzy!) https://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/cto/d/sun-city-west-1940-buick-special/7730551111.html Older restoration but still looks great. Starts and drives very well. (360) 466-3411
