  3. I like the tail lights but the rear bumper doesn't look right.
  4. Half the fun is driving a old Riviera to and from a ROA meet. The other half is the people you meet there. Kevin

  10. Some people use diesel oil because of higher levels of zddp. Hot Rod magazine had a article on diesel oil in gas engines. It said the zddp in diesel oil is for lower rpm engines and is different from the zddp in oils for gas engines that see higher rpms. Use the right oil. Kevin
  11. I couldn't find a local locksmith and gm dealers who could cut to the numbers on a 60 year old car. I found a guy online from New Jersey who could cut to the numbers with original type key blanks . I don't remember the name. Kevin

  16. I had a 1970 Pontiac that had the nylon timing gear. When it failed it was like the key was turned off. Someone must have changed yours. Kevin
  17. Front wheel drive and all wheel drive has made winter driving easier. Prior to this, weight in the trunk and snow tires were best way to go. People still forget how to drive till after the first storm. Kevin
  18. You are correct. Another John Candy memorable car was in Trains planes and automobiles. Kevin
  19. Looking good Bob. Are the red knobs on the turn signal switch and tilt lever standard or are they a Turbinator touch? Kevin
  20. The problem with some of those companies was that you were supposed to take your car back every year for inspection and most people didn't do that. I worked with guy who had a 10 year old Ford pickup that looked like new. We figured his truck must have weighed 400 pounds more than the average with all the ziebart on it. Kevin
  21. The Riviera Owners Association is a good source of information if you haven't joined yet. You need to post a picture of your car. Kevin
