We need to keep in mind that our old cars are a hobby. If you can have more fun with a few modifications, do it. If your main concern is investment value and your afraid to drive your old car or make any changes, your missing a lot of fun. I put a little over 3000 miles on the Riviera this year and probably a little more road rash but I had fun. Kevin

I bought emblems for wire hubcaps from Bob for my '63. The quality is as good or better than original. I don't think a sticker or decal would look as good. Kevin

Door edge guards were a option

It's time to let this thread go and move on to other things. Kevin

Try James Kehr at bestoffercounts. Kevin -
Look for loose chrome in the filtered air area. I had one that looked like yours and had to clean it with steel wool to remove loose pieces and seal with clear coat. I didn't want a chunk of chrome going down the carburetor. I got rid of it because even with the clear coat, it continued to flake. Kevin

Do you have to stand on your left foot and use your right hand? Kevin

Mike, your car will look great in the winner's circle at Kalamazoo next year. Kevin

Jim, thanks for letting us know about covid. So far I have no symptoms but tested yesterday as a precaution. The test was negative but will test again later in the week. I hope everyone else is doing well. Kevin

Here in Branson, it looks like a bunch of old farts, and I'm one of them.

I'm planning on being there Thursday. Flying would probably be cheaper but driving the Riviera will be a lot more fun. Kevin

If you're replacing the tank and sending unit, you might want to think about replacing the steel fuel line . I have had several old cars that gave me trouble with rust in the inside of the fuel line. Inline Tube sells pre bent line that fits good.

If you don't glue the center portion to the hood, gravity makes the pad droop enough to rub on the air cleaner when closed. Kevin

Chuck, could you see if it was from the overflow line? My '63 leaks from the gear selector shaft over the winter. Kevin

Bernie, that riviera looks like it could have been a Michigan car. Kevin

If you do install a water temperature gauge, keep in mind the hot light doesn't come on until 248 degrees. Kevin

Bob also has the smaller emblems for the wire hubcaps. I think he is the only one that has the silver tri shield for '63 Rivieras. Kevin
