    It takes me about 45 minutes to dismantle , polish and reassemble a wire cap. Just take your time.

    I have a white '63 with wire wheel covers also. I thought the turbine caps might be easier to maintain but when your wire caps are all polished they look great!

    I thought the black vinyl was a 63 only item. You didn't mention the after market radio.

    I agree with Ed, and use a wix filter. AC used to be the best when AC made them. AC is long gone and the AC Delco name belongs To GM SPO , I don't know what 3rd world country is making them now.

    Yes the gauge are illuminated. I still have the oil and temp lights hooked up to get my attention if I have the ash tray closed.

    I put a oil pressure and water temperture gauge in the ash tray so I could hide them. No room for volt gauge.

    Your bench looks clean compaired to mine. You can still see room for more stuff.

    I am guilty of leaving the ingnition unlocked so you don't need a key. The keys I had were not cut right and didn't work well. I took the glove box lock out to get the numbers and had new keys made.

    Is the switch really hidden if there is picture of the location on the internet? Maybe I am just overthinking about it

    The first car cruise of the season is this saturday. I will have to use the heater if it does not snow.

    These pictures are from last summer. I am going to drive it to Overland Park this June. I hope winter is over by then.

    I had the same problem after I vacuumed the carpet. I hit the switch on the rear of console. It took awhile for me to find it. We all have those moments.

    Nice looking wheel but after seeing to price, I think my wire hub caps are just fine.

    I used a rubber vacuum cap on mine. I know its not correct but it works.

    It was a single element bulb, only one wire . Looking at the back you could see it was factory part. I wish I had taken a picture of it.

    I went to a swap meet yesterday and a vender there had set of turn signal housing and bezels and lower pods. The lower pods had a light in them. Was this a late 64 change? At first I thought they where 65 turn signals but where too big to be a 65.
