  1. bring a lot of money unfortunately Ex-Steve McQueen 1952 Chevrolet 3800 Pickup with Camper and Husqvarna CR250 SOLD FOR $99,998 ON 9/4/20 McQueen used to actually ride with Malcolm Smith. That's impressive. It's in the comments: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1952-chevrolet-pickup-9/
  2. Been parked for 50 years, and a tree grew in the engine bay.
  3. The Hagerty stuff is free on youtube. They are rebuilding a Ford Race car now. it was on Barnfinds, then became a shop project. This is a good episode
  4. I remember my grandma had one of those, she bought it new, it was white, automatic I think. I rode in the back seat. We liked it mainly because it was small, like a compact car compared to mom's Buick. And those fins on the back!
  5. The dimensions of the oval head, for what the op is looking for, we really don't even know yet, because all he has at this point are incorrect replacement carriage bolts.
  6. So it's just a regular 7/16 bolt with a large unusual shape head. What are the head dimensions? The oval shape, min and max diameters? How about these if you filed off the hex head, and filed the flange into an oval shape? . 7/16 - 14 thread, 2 inches long. Flange diameter Max: 0.930" https://www.boltdepot.com/Product-Details.aspx?product=17269
  7. The heads look like a railroad spike to me. Maybe it's just like a regular bolt, but instead of a hex head, it has that oval. Need to see them removed, what the shank looks like. Probably nothing complicated, but not off-the-shelf.
  8. what is the difference of babbitt bearings versus insert bearings, somewhat explained
  9. This man has one and has done videos. We can message him. Can ask if he removed any of those bolts, go a good picture that can be scaled. Back of front wheel, and 2 pictures of back wheel. Yes they hold the brake drum, brakes on rear only. Football shaped head, or oblong.
  10. Apparently the OP doesn't have one to use as a pattern, they were all replaced with regular carriage bolts long ago, which are not right, maybe they work OK but look wrong. Seems need to find an owner of one of these unusual specimens, willing to help.
  11. Is it pictured here? The bolts going through the spokes? This is a '24 Brooks, btw.
  12. Looks like it's been stored well, so who cares about a little dust. Inland "Empire" a little east of Riverside so that is a dry, desert like climate. Wheels are not rusty.
  13. Proudly Made in the USA with Global Materials in Sedalia, Missouri https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-2000-Series-26-5-in-W-x-37-5-in-H-5-Drawer-Steel-Rolling-Tool-Cabinet-Red/1000462557
  14. 1916 Case Automobile 7 passenger touring car. This is one of 19 known to be in existence. This car runs although the carburetor leaks a little fuel and should be fixed prior to driving. This car was restored in the 60’s and shows some wear in the paint but no dents. Overall it is in very nice condition. 707 337-4786 Roy East of Riverside, California
  15. I don't think daily driving around Reno would be too challenging. Not like commuting daily one hour-plus each way in heavy traffic in the bay area. Stop and go on the freeway during commute hours, or worse can be if traffic is flowing well, then you need to jump on the brake quick because it came to a standstill for no apparent reason, and you can't see far enough ahead to know why.
  16. 7/16"x 20 over all length 1.625 Is that still too short? 7/16-20 is a common thread pitch, and most have an overall length of only 1.25 inch, but it seem some are longer.
