  1. Cannot find a "proper place" to post my question, so I'll ask here. My '51 has a right side visor, which was not re-installed after new headliner was added. I have attempted to install the "shaft" which is part of the visor, into the visor mounting bracket, which is fastened to the roof / headliner area. The rod does not want to "connect", or interlock with the bracket. My fear is if I push too hard, the mounting bracket will break. Any suggestions welcome, I can take pics, if you believe pics would help.
  2. The term "head turner" can also indicate an individual whose head is turned AWAY from unfavorable subject matter.
  3. QUESTIONS, if I choose to use the "buy it now" option and add the option "make an offer", can I (1) still put in a reserve and (2) if that reserve is passed, am I obligated to sell to that individual who passed the reserve ?
  4. Going through these EBAY comments, as I prepare to pull the trigger and get my '51 Chevy listed. ( I never said I was quick to decide ) I always get a chuckle out of the wit displayed by Bernie. I like this post of his that speaks of the engine specs, stuck to the rear panel of cars ....... and his comment about the "wimpy, buzzy stuff". Bernie, you make my day. :-)

  6. Randy, It sounds like you planning to "move in" to this garage, keep the pics coming as your man cave progresses.
  7. Starting off with a CORRECT TITLE is always the way to go, pleased the seller was helpful to you.
  8. My white CORVAIR has swirls in the paint on the flat surface of the roof. Buffer swirls. What is a source ofremedy to eliminate these swirls, knowing I do not have a buffer to work with. Thanks.
  9. We just finished a thread about titles and registrations .......... if the seller doesn't have all his ducks in a row, when he puts it up for sale, find another project. The potential azz aches down the road, when you try to obtain a title, is not worth the bargain purchase price.
  10. I knew a gent in Ohio, who bought a car without a title, a non running car. He did repairs to the car, with many more repairs still on his list, so he was no hurry to go through the title process, since the car was not yet drivable. Once drivable, he went to the local DMV in his county in Ohio, went through the steps to get the title. He soon discovered from the Ohio DMV that he unknowingly bought a stolen vehicle ...... he lost the money he paid for the car and the money for the repairs and, oh yes, he lost the car to the original owner, as well. My best advise is this ...... if the car you want to buy does NOT have a VALID title and / or a Valid registration, move on to the next car. Save yourself a lot of grief, as a bonus to yourself.
  11. A friend of mine who lives in California, needs both interior door trim panels for his 1951 CHEVY 2 door sedan. Panel condition is not #1 priority, only really need the molding that mounts on the interior door panel. Both sides needed. The molding is listed as fitting 2 door Fleetline and Styleline models as well as the coupes. 1951 and 1952 are the same. Convertible and Bel Air are different. Thanks.
  12. When I see an ad, without a price .... I have learned to just move on.
  13. V.L., The detail you have placed into this ad is certainly leaving no stone unturned. Anyone interested will know everything about the '55 before viewing it. Can I gather the long 1955 E Bay heading is to get the attention of those looking for a variety of '55's ?
  14. If you have converted your truck to 12 volts and did not protect the 6 volt dash gas gauge with a resistor, the gauge will fail.
  15. Here are some pics I received from a gentleman I met. He has his 1940 Ford for sale. The car and the owner are in Colorado. " Bob here are a couple of pictures of my 40 ford.
