  1. Sid, Sorry to hear that the wife is not well. More sorry yet, to hear that you have to sell some of your babies! I hope you find a buyer quickly and that your wife is able to have her surgery and feels 100% soon. Matt
  2. Only thing to report is.........I called on the sewing machine yesterday to set up a time to pay for and pick up and the gent told me that he sold it two days before. That's a showstopper right at the moment on the upholstery. I have some more small panels to do in the convertible well, but have been spending more time than I wanted looking for another machine that isn't going to cost more than my car did. These are very expensive machines and I thought I had that one. I was just trying to get the rest of the money together that he wanted. I started working on the arm rest/door pulls yesterday, but only got so far as I need to "SEW". Still too cold here to do any bodywork. I did manage to buy a box of parts from a two door cheap and will be cleaning them up and offering them for sale to fund more advancement on my car. I might start taking the interior back out of the car so I can start cutting the carpet kickers for the panels and so the interior is out of the dusty garage for the next round of dustmaking. Matt
  3. Bob, When do we get more eye candy? It's been awhile, my friend! Matt

  6. Robert, Any update is better than no update. Look forward to more progress on your car! Matt
  7. Bob, Just wanted to say thanks for this afternoon. It was a pleasure to meet you and talk awhile and see all of your beautiful cars and truck. To remember the before pictures and to see the finished car was amazing. I wanted to thank you for the break in my afternoon and I'm glad that you were around and available so I could pass by. I look forward to many more visits........Matt
  8. Bob I am in Northampton right now. Am I anywhere close to you to stop in and say hi? Matt 570-702-6372
  9. Praying for you. Keep the faith and your head held high.
  10. Adam, Congrats. I think!? Sometimes we have to make decisions we wouldnt have made before another situation arises. You now have a very beautiful complete car you can enjoy now and the limited hopefully will be finished and the new owner will keep us posted on the rest of the restoration. Matt
  11. The 52 motor and tranny will not leave you enough room between the radiator and cowl section. That is why the Roadmasters are longer in the fenders and hood. They needed the space for the extra length in the motor. It just won't fit, unless you could possibly remove everything off of the front of the motor and run electric fans??? As far as the tranny, that's a whole 'nother can of worms. Matt
  12. 4 bufords, Right now just fitting the carpet. I had the carpet set made 3 inches too wide for the car so I could adjust for fit. I am going to install a sound deadener under the carpet. It will be non-absorbent and heat reflective. Matt
  13. R.I.P. Buick Brother. Sorry to hear that. My thoughts go out to family and friends. Matt
  14. Today, I decided that I had better check fit on the door panels and then, while I was at it, I fit the carpet set also. Now that the carpet is cut and I am happy with the outcome of the fit, I need to sew new edges on where I cut this to size. I ordered the original set from Kanter for my car and it just didn't fit right. Seemed like it was an inch or so short on all sides. So, last year after I ordered this, Kanter made me another set, but left it long on all sides so I could trim to fit in my car. I was really happy with their customer service on that. I also cut the carpet piece out for the foot rest on the back of the drivers seat. Now I have to bear down and buy the sewing machine that I've been looking at so I can sew all of these details that really bother me and until I lay them to rest, they will be in the back of my mind, constantly bothering me. hehe. I still have to cut the carpet kick panels for the door panels and also sew vinyl along the edge of it. Enjoy the pics. I included one of the machine I'm looking at buying for sewing the panels, etc. Matt

  21. Bob, Not once, reading and following your thread with much enthusiasm, have I had any inclination to doze off or be bored in any way, shape or manner. Excellent thread and beautiful car! Matt
  22. I personally would like to say thanks to all of you guys. Moderators and just normal car guys! I would like to hope and think that all of us are here for the purpose of first and foremost, cars and secondly friendship. I would like to say that I have never met a bunch of guys that I consider close friends such as all of you and heck, I've only met a handfull of you guys and gals personally. Shoot, I'm rambling and tired. Back to our cars and friendships. Matt
  23. Adam, Looks nice! Glad you are making progress with tidying up this nice lookin' machine. BTW how's the other car coming along? Matt
  24. Best description is beige/beige or light tan/black. These color of tops, for some reason, I've always referred to them as "cord" which I recon isn't quite correct. Matt
