  1. Cut done for most part. Have some hard to get at areas to work on still. First stage of polish complete and a wash today. So far am very happy with results Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I think I would definitely let the seller know that the case is damaged. Was your plan to rebuild, or stuff it under the car and cross your fingers? If rebuilding, should be welded when apart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. First off, Welcome to the forum. Might I suggest that you also become a member if the AACA. After doing the above, attend your local car club meetings. They usually have meetings once a month. Present yourself and your situation to the club and several might invite you to watch/help on their winter projects they have. Start looking at different project vehicles in your approximate area. Get an idea of any rust repairs you see, etc. Then, search the internet for videos on others repairing similar problems. Be realistic on the depth of restoring a car. Many, like yourself, get into a car and have it all apart, lose interest and send it to the salvage yard. I would suggest starting with a car mechanically and structurally sound that just needs detail type work. If you accomplish that, then look for something a bit more challenging. 6. I suggest posting this in the buy/sell section and please read the rules for advertising a car for sale at the top of the buy/sell page. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Well, been working hard, long hours getting the car ready for paint as It is going to bee too cold to keep the garage heated enough to make it happen. Today, I sprayed a couple parts to adjust the gun. Happy with the results and tomorrow in the 60's, so tomorrow afternoon will be spraying the car, I hope! Nice to see a part without orange peel..... 24. Welcome. I installed a tank from Bob's a year ago and used the rubber and clamps. My car is a driver and I'm not too worried about how original it looks. I still have the old neck from the original tank just in case. New tank is definitely the way to go. Mechanic wise, you have someone to help you if you cannot fix it yourself, but purchase a shop manual and read it! You will surprise yourself and we are here to assist in any way we can!
