  1. Pictures would help out. The skirts you had last year were for a four door. Hope that helps. Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Your friend should purchase a 49' shop manual for his car. From experience, you will find everything needed for troubleshooting to repairs. The Dynaflows changed drastically over the years and would be a world of difference in the manuals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Went to the State park today for a picnic with the family. Was a hot air balloon there giving rides to a group. Really nice time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Glad to see you are on the track to recovery! Stay diligent and follow the orders Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Neil The cowl section back is the same on both series. The frame is different because of the larger displacement engine, thus the fenders and hood had to be longer on the 76 series convertible. How about starting a thread on your car. We love pictures! Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for "taking us along" my friend. Would have been great to be along for the ride, but it was excellent that you took all of the pictures so we could enjoy the trip! Glad you will be back home tomorrow. See you soon!
  7. Auto transmission was not available until 1948. Where are you located? Several of us have trannys, but freight is gonna be expensive
  8. Really nice looking car there Keith! Simply beautiful colors.
  9. Can I suggest that you become a member of the BCA? There are vendors in the monthly magazine, a yearly member list of cars owned and Region chapters that might be close to you. Scroll down under the general forum and you will find a section dedicated to Buick. There are many people, very willing to help out any way that they can, or to guide you in the right direction. Matt
  10. After talking with Paul the other day, we are planning on both of them being at Allentown 2016!
  11. Vacationing in MA and met up with my friend and forum member Paul Girard aka pirate, for a nice photo session with his car and a nice drive! Was a great couple of hours and my thanks go out to him and his wife for the hospitality. Cruizin down the road Simply Buickful!
  12. Al PM Restorer32 here on the forum. I highly recommend his shop for getting these types of things done. Matt
  13. Praying for Paul and hoping for a full recovery also. Matt
  14. Our prayers go out for Roberta today. Wishing her a speedy recovery and lots of love from her extended Buick family. Matt
  15. I got a rebuilt dynaflow from Jims dynaflow service for under $1000.00 without sending core back. He is also very helpful troubleshooting issues. Shop manual is essential for checking problems.
  16. Glad you are having a great and Buickful trip
  17. Luke Welcome aboard. We love pictures, so why not post some!
  18. Waiting for the convertible top mechanism to come back from powdercoating. I finally had enough extra dough to get it done while I was thinking about it. Multi-tasking! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Brought it home today. Will try to gather up all the bits and pieces. The car is complete, except for the seats. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Wiper motor came back from Ficken a week earlier than I anticipated. Installed back on the car and I now have wipers that work again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
