  1. All of the credit goes to Restorer32 and the gentlemen at the foundry. All I did was ask if they could be cast and provide the castings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. After installing the burlap over the springs, I put down a layer of batting, then hog ringed the foam down to the springs. Then I installed the other layer of batting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Here are my frames that I had cast with the help of a friend (Restorer32) and an Amish foundry he works with. I have five sets of frames for 46-48 Buick convertible 56c and 76c. I know these were also used on Cadillac. I am still working on the machining aspect of finishing the frames. Shouldn't be too difficult. Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Frank Sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. Praying for you and your family. Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I have used the newer stuff, over burlap. I use a thin foam between two layers of batting as the bating is thinner. I've had pretty good results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Be there Thurs,Fri,Sat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The door lock should be the same and is easier to remove imho. Do you have a service Manual? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Sorry to hear. Prayers out to Vacabill. Get better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I will state this. The Roadmaster and Super convertibles are the same from the cowl back. I'm not sure about the sedannetes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks John. It's like taking your car to a show and hoping someone doesn't steal your ashtrays.......the deal was if a car had a name on it, you were supposed to leave it alone as it was spoken for. Sure would like to find the tub surround stainless also...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. As everyone will remember, JohnD and I went to pick up a parts car in NY for this project and Someone had stole some parts off of it. Here's the steering wheel on ebay with the column cut in half......... http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=181520600069 Wouldn't trust this seller very far. I sent him a crappy message also to let him know how I feel about thieves! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. All nos rocker panels (outers) were made the same length and cut to fit the series car. I have a nos set that will fit all series. Your best bet is to order the RM and cut them. As for the trunk pan, I have a nice 47' sedanette shell that I am preparing to cut apart to have the trunk pan duplicated and using other parts for a convertible project. 17. Seems to me that if I were going to spend $12,500.00 on a car, I would make a quick weekend flight there and back possibly the same day to do the deal. Worth missing a days work instead of losing that kind of money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. What a Buickful car John! Was great to see it in person. Was a great afternoon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. He who has been indecisive has decided to start the engine before repainting the car. Have to rebuild the fuel pump and carb. Then, hotwire the engine to run...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I would be interested in Item 9, the two lights. Could you check shipping to 18411.
  21. I've finally settled back down in the garage working on the 47' again. Right after painting last fall, I had a mishap with a cord reel and painted parts hanging from the ceiling:(. I have almost completed all of the rest of the sanding before repainting, so I started the bodywork yesterday on the hood and passenger fender. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I can't remember on the fender. I do know that the skirts were 4 door cause I was going to buy them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
