Thinkin u need to handle the more delicate things when u don’t have a beer in the other hand....🤪

Even in the late 80’s in Arkansas we would spray used motor oil on the underside of some customers cars and then drive them down a dusty road. Never had any problems with rusted hardware if ever needed to remove anything.

Interior $13,500.00 this is the reason I chose to make my own harness $1,400.00+\- purchased new I am 2.5 hrs away from you and could offer a lot of help on what goes where, etc. If I had the garage space, would offer to do. All sheet metal will have to come apart for paint to be done correctly. The color inside the trunk was not an original color and the interior is custom also I think. White vinyl wasnt an option. The wiring harness looks newer in the video.

This is the build of my car which was in horrible shape compared to yours Att

Holy cow. That brings back memories....... Your best bet will be to slowly assemble the car yourself. To have a reputable shop restore this will put you WAY upsode down. Now, if cost is not a worry, there are shops out there. But, the good shops will have a waiting list of peopleamd cars. Keep us posted and Merry Christmas Matt

Not cool tagging on someone elses thread..... -
As Steve said above. But might I also add that the PEOPLE are the reason I am a member of the club. There is SO much throughout the span of years and makes of cars, trucks, motorcylcles, etc that without the PEOPLE that aquire, maintain, restore, drive, show, etc., these vehicles, the reason for having them is lost. They also had a 5 window sportroof model.

1948 Tucker #1057 on ebay
jackofalltrades70 replied to 1950panhead's topic in Automobiles and Parts - Buy/Sell
Next your gonna tell us Santa doesn’t come down the chimney and leave our presents. Who eats the cookies and drinks the milk then? Sorry, Tucker never built a convertible. All in all, it could be deemed a kit car. They look nice, usually from afar, (20 footers) and never approach the value of an Original. Matt -
1948 Tucker #1057 on ebay

Quite optomistic on their price!!!??? IMHO, car is worth less than any other Tucker, just because it is something that never was. Matt -
One task at a time. Is the only way you will finish. Start by cleaning, removing old carpet, freeing up brakes, sanding, priming the car so is one color. (Will make them look at the car differently) even if it still has rust repairs that need to be made. Little things will help keep you motivated Matt

1953 Buick Roadmaster Convertible Body Bushings
jackofalltrades70 replied to 99WestCustoms's topic in Buick - Post War
Your best bet is to purchase a 53’ shop manual. Maybe someone here has one and can scan the pages that have pictures of the body mounts with shims, etc. I would also suggest that just putting in the mounts and bolting it down will not be your solution. Your name suggests a custom shop so be prepared for shimming different mounts for proper door shutting and alignment at the door latch where the tub meets with the door. Good luck Matt -
Does it still have the original drive train? If it does, and engine is free, they usually don’t take much to get going again. An engine swap means front to back, rear end and all. Still yet, is your car and you know what is best for your situation. Good luck and welcome aboard Matt

Sounds like your car may have sat, unused for awhile and the seals may have dried out. You may get lucky and with a little bit of driving, they may seal again. You should try to purchase a 56’ shop manual ao you can see how to repair the leaks. We like pictures! Please post a couple of the car. Matt
