  1. Hi Ed, My 1915 Pierce Arrow 38c would like to wish your 1915 T A very happy Birthday.
  2. Hi Bill, I own a 1933 1242 Pierce and live in South Surrey. I will keep a ear out for parts hitting the market
  3. The potential players in this industry that could handle the sale new they were available.
  4. I had heard the Ratsoy collection was available and went to see jim to talk about a possible complete purchase. I was not new to this purchasing model but you have to understand who the seller was. Jim is a man in his 80's who through out the course of his career started numerous car dealerships in at least three different provinces. His dad owned at least one dodge brothers and one ford dealer. Jim is the perfect example of the car salesman. If any one is purchasing 100 plus cars in a bulk purchase plus a vintage music machine collection worth over 250,000 and a lot of vintage gas and oil collectibles you have to look at the logistics of handling and processing it. I approached the purchase from a business stand point and there would be no way to come to terms. If you were looking at it purely on a desire or i want / instant gratification then it would be different. I am confident the offshore purchaser paid at least 140% of value. don't get me wrong Jim is a great guy but he is a very shrewd business man. Kirk
  5. Thanks for the help Mark, The name i posted earlier was the correct spelling. I did find a obituary a couple years old for him. As it stands I have a great binder of news clippings and information I would be happy to pass along to the owner of the car in it or failing that to another 1913 buick owner.
  6. Hello Mark, I am sorry but the vin or serial number I posted is the only number I have. I do know that a previous owner was one Edward A Mcglochlin who lived in Carmel Valley Ca. The Car was a model 25.

  10. the origional poster did not specify what era of engine he was working on. we mostly work on on pre 30's cars and found the 50 weight works well on the older stuff.
  11. I have got three Pierce's, two Packard's and am currently shopping for a early Peerless. I hope to find one by next year.
  12. Hi George, if you wanted to send me some measurements of the gauge hole sizes and location I can compare with my 1924 Stutz model c pumper. It looks exactly like mine.
  13. It seems to be a very close match of my 1924 Stutz Model c pumper. I will dig out a picture and post it.
  14. Hi Jeff, what a great car. knowing how large my 40 horse runabout is that thing must be huge. is it around 70 horse? I would like to make it a goal to get pictures of all six remaining H.A. Moyers on here. Kirk
  15. I looked at that Packard quite extensively. that was a really nice car. i was however very surprised at the size difference with my 1932 903 convertible coupe.
  16. Ed you work quick. It was good to meet you last week. Please send pics when you are finished. Kirk
  17. i shipped a modern car three years ago to Maui, about 1200.00 from Seattle to Maui. i thought it was quite reasonable. Now a semi disassembled car? i would think have the seller load it in a twenty foot container with all the parts and get him to throw in some 100% Kona coffee and you are good to go. Kirk Edit; the company i used was Matson as well.
  18. Thanks everyone. These are my cars. I would never presume to post a picture of a customer's car. The Pierce is a 1933 1242 factory body.
  19. I finally got a chance to take some pictures. Had to move some other stuff to do it. It's funny, you can own a car for quite a while and never have pictures of it.
  20. Thanks for the information. Do you mind telling where you referenced the information from. Thanks, Kirk
  21. A friend of mine bought this car. a little dusty from storage but with some tlc it is coming out quite nicely. Kirk
