  1. I drive a Reliant ANT .... this is a 3 wheeled truck one ton rated It's very stable unless you do something stupid with it. I think they tipped the castoron that one so it would flop.... and it only flops in one direction you'll notice Oh the doors on the ANT do open without warning but the previous owner thought to put ropes to make them easy to pull closed
  2. Dave the 4's we're used as marine and forklift engines too
  3. Hercules are also used in Diamond T trucks
  4. These things are out there. One man's idea of transportation I think it would look 'really good' in the back of that $800k pick-up thereby doubling the value of both ..... not by weight Perhaps it's the time of year or the economy but drinking one's own bath water seems on the increase......
  5. I put them in the washing machine when my wie is no looking or even around ...... the dryer makes a HELLARACKET:)
  6. We get handmade gaskets here all the time. Labor isn't much. The cost of a double sided copper clad gasket is more due to the material cost. Double sided copper can be used over and over providing it comes off intact/undamaged. I clean the gasket to reuse it and soak it in hot water I've not noticed any real difference in performance between materials except for this re-useable feature. Everytime we go to the US I bring home a couple cans of spray-on copper head gasket sealer. That works the best for me. It's -11 in the workshop today. So. till the plumbers arrive I'm in the nice warm house
  7. Paul you forgot "Nexr year it will be an antique!'' Perhaps this guy drinks his own bath water How many 'last built Caddy conv.' are in storage? Awaiting the price to go up. Remember It easy to be stupid
  8. Happy Thanksgiving to you all from Poland
  9. There's Peel 50 driving in this video
  10. This is the brake set up I built 20 years ago and used ever since. Never swapped ends with it cause I'm not stupid I agree with you guys!! Poorly designed ANYTHING is unsafe! Especially the nut behind the wheel. AND the stopping distance of my rig is far shorter than the Huck brakes. Please remember I drive and use my truck.
  11. Money You discribe a leak down tester....... MUCH MORE USEFUL THAN A COMPRESSION GAUGE Honest
  12. Yes Jim anyone can screw up a picnic!
  13. Jim if drum brakes worked better than discs, Discs would never been invented. Can you imagine a F1 race car on drums. Anything can be poorly engineered disc brakes are no exception. I stop a 1939 GMC pick up with little Datsun discs on the front. No power assist either. In 20 years I have changed the pads once. And driven this truck all over the world. With the truck empty the rears just lock slightly before the front
  14. There are things but Russia is a tough place. They are good at stories that end in robbery and death to those that venture in Most countries here have some laws about removing antiques. You give the guy the money and he calls the police..... They ask you to leave AND remember mst of our best items were stolen!!
  15. Wayne I can't open it either. It needs fixin or your the only one thats gonna be buying it.....
  16. #1 is a 4 port rotor automatic intake Piston is gear driven and it compresses the charge it may have been built to run on natural gas AND is sitting next to my desk here ...... this is American any guesses? #2 Please get your eyes tested ....... It's water cooled. Single over head cam VW? This is American too!

  18. Here's a photo of the car he is selling I saw it just after restoration not long ago
  19. Hi I have a ton of NOS engine parts Gaskets, bearings and such.... You can use V-8 60 Pistons but the Ford rings don't fit Simca well. I think I have rings too but everything takes searching We moved 11--forty foot containers here from So Cal when I retired I also have an extra manual in English
  20. Greetings from Poland. I have many new engine parts if you ever need. Congratulations on a fine little car:)
