  1. I have one of those emblems sitting on a shelf in the garage. Bought it at a flea market, thought it was unique. If anyone wants or needs one of these, I would let it go
  2. I believe I may still have one. Shall check the parts room saturday, if I do, I will let you know. Mark
  3. These are a biased ply tire. Havent the slightest idea on date of manufacture, They were purchased three years ago, and have been stored since. They were purchased from Coker tires. They are a tubeless tire.

    You need a better camera!
  6. I have a set of 4 new BFG Silvertown tires with a 1 inch white wall. These were purchased for a 64 Wildcat. Never mounted on the rims. New price is $175 per tire. Set of 4 is $350 plus shipping, or I can deliver to the Nats in Ames. Mark 319-361-6465
  7. Lets give John a day or two to respond. If he has no interest, I would be happy to work this out with you. Mark
  8. John, I have a very nice set I had been saving back for the day when I bought another 64. That day isnt going to happen. These are the true Force 5, Just repaint them in black.
  9. Lares has done boxes for me from 1946 up to 1973. The one they did on the 46 came back perfect
  10. Its not all that bad, I just replaced all my windows in the 46. The front seal was a couple hundred if I remember correctly. Having all new glass is worth it. I ended up buying a body repair manual to see how the front winshield came out. Actually easier than I thought.

    REDI RAD

I ordered one last summer and installed it in my 46, worked pretty good! I took it out last fall. I was going to install it in another car, but sold the car. Very simple to install, and as long as your radio is working, and has a decent speaker its not a bad alternative, to boring old AM. I even wired in for an I phone so I could listen to other music. Is it as good as having a radio rebuilt into am/fm, maybe not, but its a heck of a lot cheaper, and way simpler. The 46 only has one speaker anyway so I wasnt going for concert hall quality to start with. I'll give it a thumbs up
  12. If your refering to the Ames show, I wouldnt worry too much about it. Its Iowa afterall. I am sure all of the major hotels will have security to let patrons feel safer. It will be a big deal for the town of Ames, and they will do thier best to assure a safe and pleasant stay I drove my 75 convertible to the office today, and the keys are still in it out in the parking lot. My office manager grew up outside of Chicago, and still locks her car and sets the alarm before coming into the building, just a force of habit for her. I have never had a problem here with theft or damage
  13. Did you try Kirbans? They have most everything else. Used to buy a lot of parts from them when I had Turbo cars
  14. I am looking for a couple , or even a full set of very nice chrome wheels for a 87 442. Thanks, Mark 319-361-6465 marklob@gmail.com
  15. In my home garage in Iowa, I had foam put in under the concrete, plus a layer of plastic to help keep the moisture out, I insulated the building top and sides, installed a vent system for the summer heat. On an average day in the winter, the building will be 15 -20 degrees warmer inside than the air outside. In the spring time, the floor stays much drier and doesnt sweat too bad.
  16. Dave, I second that, come on down. Get the 68 done and cruise it on in. Be good to meet you finally. Mark Lob
  17. Rick, What are you looking for in T shirts. A good friend has a Company in Cedar Rapids that does all types of t-shirts. We may be able to get a break, plus it will keep the money locally. I get all my work related clothing for the company there. Call me if need be.319-247-2403 office Mark
  18. Call Kevin at Enclosed Vehicle Transport 770-831-0519 He can get it done and if your willing to go an open trailer, he can do it very reasonably. Great guy.
  19. I have used a company called Enclosed Vehicle Transport for the last 6-7 cars. Great service,, VERY fast response times, and a good price. Last car was called in on thursday of the week, and picked up that next tuesday. I generally dont have to wait more than a week for Kevin to get my car picked up. Do a google search, you'll find them. Mark
  20. Buick also put those on top of the gas tank, or rolled up under the drivers side dash, Some are in the A pillar, mine in my GSX was under the carpet in the rear section. He may want to confirm other locations with Duane Heckman on the V8 Buick website, also the Sloan Museum in Flint may be able to assist
  21. I want to replace all the glass in my 46 Sedanette this spring. Does anyone know of a firm that can do this, that understands these cars. I am willing to take this car within a range of 500 miles of Cedar Rapids, IA to assure it is done correctly. Thanks , Mark
  22. If your having troubles finding the correct carb, you can install the Edlebrock 500 cfm carb on the car. You will need the edlebrock adapter plate to match up the bolt pattern, Run the starter wire from the carb up under the dash and install a heavy duty horn button and your good to go. You may just find it works so well you will want to leave it on the car, and keep the original in a box.
