  1. CARS Inc has floor mats with the Buick logo. I dont know if they have colors available as all I have seen is black
  2. I was told tonight, by the person who is putting a 263 into my 46, which like your car had the smaller engine, that putting a Dynaflow drivetrain in place of the whole manual system is a nightmare and a real pain in the tush. Better to stay with the manual trans, unless you are really good at fab work. Machining a crank is an option, but you need to be sure they are qualified, otherwise you trash a crank and start another search, and spend even more dollars.
  3. I was introduced to a gentleman today who has a complete 263 /dflow combo he will be wanting to sell. I had been looking for a 263 manual trans crank for some time. not as easy to find as I thought Email me and I will get you in touch with him. marklob@gmail.com
  4. John, Are you referring to one of the Grant wood wheels? I did not see anything that was a Buick wood grain wheel posted for sale.
  5. I am looking for a nice wood grain steering wheel used on the early to mid 60s Wildcats and Rivieras, with preference to the trishield centercap
  6. I have a rebuilt steering pump and brakets for the 55 and an NOS front pulley to help with the conversion. If anyone wants to start, give me a call
  7. Jack I purchased a rebuilt later model engine to drop in the 46. John H. is doing the install on this for me. My plans are to then have the original engine rebuilt and kept safe and sound and on display at the garage. In the meantime, I get to enjoy a few more horsepower and maybe 5 more MPH on the top end which means I can take it on the highway. As much as I would love to have another 40s car, I have been spoiled with the one you restored
  8. Dave, Try posting these parts on V8Buick.com as well. Why not double the chance of selling these parts
  9. Paul, John Hemingway is doing the build on this car for me. He will be calling you this weekend in regards to that motor. Thank you, Mark
  10. Been getting some good leads, thanks. Still looking though
  11. I purchased a car last year from Barney, for my fathers 48 Super convertible. Its a light weight material designed for indoor as well as outdoor protection. My father had that cover on the car at the Nationals the morning it rained cats and dogs. I feared it may not hold up well in that storm and ran the show field to check on the car. The water was pouring off as fast as it touched the cover, the car stayed bone dry inside, and the cover was dried out with in 15 minutes after the rain stopped. Well worth every penny! Why spend thousands of dollars to restore a car, and then trust your paint to a $29.95 cover from Walmart.
  12. I am looking for a 1950-1953 Buick inline 8 263 engine from a manual trans car. Top dollar for a rebuildable core
  13. OK, how about a complete engine. Any body have one sitting in the barn or shop they would like to make a few bucks on????
  14. I am desperately looking for a manual shift 1950-1953 263 crank shaft from a straight 8 engine. I will buy either the crank, or entire engine. Crank needs to be in good condition so it can be machined and re-installed in my block. Thank you. Mark 319-361-6465 office toll free 866-823-8642

    1970 Riviera

Jack, If that car is as nice as the 46 Super I bought from you, then this car should be a joy to own. Best of luck, Mark
  16. May I suggest looking in the Bugle under Tech Advisors for the 46-48 models. My fathers was a combination of leather with cloth inserts
  17. I would venture to say that is closer to a #3 car, which seems to be most cars on the market. Nice older cosmetic restoration, maybe not correct as a show car, but a great driver that you can go anywhere in and not have to make excuses for the car. In my opinion, these are great cars that are wonderful to drive. My father has a 48 Super Convertible that is for the most part unrestored, the paint is a bit thin in places, and the chrome isnt perfect anymore, but he drives that car all over the country and wouldnt have it any other way
  18. The Old Cars Price Guide #1 $55,000 #2 $38,500 #3 $24,750 #4 $11,000 Of course various factors come into play, ie originality, mileage, quality of restoration.
  19. Brian, You just need to call or email me when your ready, and I will be over to pick it up. Thank you! Mark
