  1. But nothing explains the red lenses.
  2. No front door vent glasses on a Ford Maverick. No provision for sealing. Was there a European roadster named Maverick, or a boat? Although the LOF brand makes it more likely to be domestic. Kit car?
  3. Sorry, the heater was sold to a Coupe Express owner in Washington state a year or two ago. I don't think I can delete the thread.
  4. Forget Safelite. Find a locally owned auto glass shop that's been around a long time. You need to find an installer that's older than 50 years of age. It's not a difficult job, just not something current installers (young) have any experience with.
  5. Yes, low quality pencils are a frustration, for myself and my educator wife. I often pick up made in USA old pencils (partial or full boxes) at estate sales for $1. Ahh, the smell of cedar when sharpened! Also, vintage sharpeners seem to center the sharpening better.
  6. I went by. It was driven regularly recently. Estate company said they were looking for offers around $12,000. While the paint was nice, there was a little rust showing around the rear wheel wells.
  7. https://dcobbestateliquidators.com/event/estate-sale-fresno-ca-friday-may-19th-saturday-20th-at-8-am/?instance_id=811 Might be able to go by on my lunch hour tomorrow and see it.
  8. C'mon, dyed-in-the-wool Studebaker fans usually own Gravelys. It's part of the Family. 😉
  9. You would do well to post this on the specific forum for that car: https://forums.aaca.org/forum/39-chryslers-tc-by-maserati/
  10. The windshield piece should hopefully be the same as 68-69 Fairlane (to broaden your search).
  11. You will need one for a one-piece curved windshield (no center support for a divided windshield). I think Studebaker actually offered one with a center support bracket that mounted on the roof. I have one, but not thrilled about drilling holes in my roof.
  12. The 53-54 Pontiac/ Chevy line uses three different windshields, all being one-piece curved, the Station wagon being the tallest. But the same exterior visor probably could be used on all of them (just a guess). Same would apply for the 49-52 line, but four different sets of two-piece curved windshields.
  13. 1947-50 Studebaker Champion used 15" x5.5 wheel as standard. There was an optional 16"x4 wheel offered in 47-48. A bit unusual. Here's pics of my original paint 15" from a '48. Note stripes are in different place than yours. And your tire is 16"? Earlier Champions (1939-41) were also 4 lug, but I don't know further details on them. Someone here probably has that info. Or Hollander's.
  14. And even without the serial, it wouldn't be a '53 because the lettering on the front of the hood is different.
  15. I have read in a repair manual, instead of water, put a sheet of paper on the windshield. That greatly cuts the friction. Of course you would need a piece of paper under each blade. And it would have to be large to cover the travel of the blades. How 'bout wrapping each blade loosely with a piece of paper?
  16. Check carefully for any etched info near the corner (called a "bug"). They may be for a 1940 5 passenger club coupe or station wagon.
  17. A small local one in Selma, Ca. Near Fresno. The local Model A Ford Club (Blossom Trail A's) started it about 15-20 years ago. Has grown to a nice little event.
  18. Yes, the box provides the applications on the first one. Hoping someone has parts books for Valley Forge with more details to I.D. the second and third one.
  19. The first and the third have the same 892 number. The three terminals match positions, but the method of attachment of the base to the car differs slightly. Again, I assume the 11 59 signifies the production date.
  20. The first one is easy, because the box still has the end panel with part number and application. But the other two only have the internal number stamped on the box and a number stamped on the underside of the base. It would appear that 8 61 would be their production date (compare to the other two in next posts). The 892 matches on the box and base.
  21. $150? Also, there were amber bulbs installed in them, between the center and the top.
