  1. The saved search feature is a great way to reduce the number of listings on an eBay search. Without the feature, typing in "1954 Buick" would result in a listing of 8-9,000 items. My saved search parameter contains 44 specific words. I now get a more manageable listing of 3,200 items.
  2. I recently spend some time working on the vent windows for my 1954 Buick. I had ordered semi-tubular rivets and the required setting tool. Check with vendors to see what diameter and length of rivets they have available.
  3. I hope your parents are doing better. I noticed you are applying filler over epoxy. Which is better -filler applied over bare metal vs painted metal?
  4. Went back to reread some of your earlier posts. Great workmanship that has resulted in a quality restoration. Easy to see why the car has received the accolades and awards.
  5. Had a 1961 Ford. The lug nuts on the drivers side rear wheel became loose while driving around town at a low speed. No major consequences.
  6. Brushing allows you to dab paint into the rough surface of the cast iron.
  7. Other information to share. In 1953, the spark plug wires exit out the side of the spark plug wire covers at the back. Part number 1343466. For 1954-56, the wires exit out the top of the covers at the back. Part numbers 1163440 (right) and 1163441 (left).
  8. I enjoy watching the progress you are making on restoring this car.
