Hi buicks, welcome to binghamton ny. Meet to be held at state u of bing. Hope you can make it.Just think of a mouth watering speedie sandwich and come on down. The sandwich alone is worth the trip. I lived north of Syracuse, and worked all over the state for years for New York Tel, including Binghamton. I went to Lupos char pit every chance I got, including any time I was just passing through or near the Binghamton / Endwell area. (did some contract work for IBM at the Tech Center too)

Crap, I am so embarrassed! My apologies to all the fine citizens of BINGHAMTON I hope they allow me to come to the meet. They pay me big bucks to make sure errors like this do not occur and I missed this one. My fault, sorry!

Steve,

After being the editor of the Iroquois Region for 11 years, I know how these things happen. This is just a little FUBAR!

We would be upset if you DON'T join us in BINGHAMTON in June.

Will talk to you at the AACA Meeting next week.

Hey Steve,

When I went to the Best Western web site and tried to check on room availability

for June 28-30 the web site says "Hotel not available for date(s) selected".

Is the Hotel already booked solid? If not, you might want to contact the hotel

and let them know they should fix their web site.

Did the hotel reserve the entire place for the AACA crowd and lock out their web site?

Looking forward to the Meet-- In December I called the AACA office to locate the host hotel--They told me it is the Hampton Inn In Vestal and I made my reservations. Is this the correct hotel and if not, how far is it from the show field ????

Thanks---Sky Borst-- Concord,NH

Answers to questions:

1. Trailer Parking will be on the Campus of Binghamton University. .5 to .75 miles from the show field.

2. The Binghamton regency is the host hotel. It's about 5 miles from the show site.

3. Our flyer was just finished yesterday. Hopefully, I'll have an internet connection at the Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, Tomorrow and Saturday. If so, I will update the web site with more information.

4. Will check on what's going on with the Hotel.

Sky, the Hampton Inn in Vestal is a good choice, It;s not the host hotel, but is a nice new facility and only about 1 mile from the University.

If you are at the Annual Meeting in Philadelphia this weekend, stop by our tabel in the trade show.

I'll be there as will our show chairman. We'll have flyers and ready answers to any questions.

Planning a National Meet is a pretty daunting task. With the help and understanding of all you, we'll "GIT ER DONE".

Please continue to question us, HERE!

Here's the web link to the Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich.

Northeast Classic Car Museum

The museum contains the largest collection of Franklin's in the world.

Two Duesenbergs, a Cord and some of the nicest vehicles you will see anywhere.

The museum is planning a display of 1957 vehicles to open in late May.

As Windjammer stated above, there will be a bus tour and box lunch activity

a part of the Eastern Division Spring Nationsl Meet.

The tour will be on Friday, June 29.

Been there, done that Pat. It was OK, but just another rod show, the burnouts were cool, though.

On to bigger and better things. Working hard on the Western Tour in September this year. I hope that new Director friend of mine doesn't back out on me.

I know its a long shot, but here gos. In 2002 my wife attended her first nat. at Purchess ny. with her 72 chevelle. Nervious was an understatement. So scared she could hardly stand. A wonderful lady stoped an talked to her for near 10 min. or better. At the awards banquit they called my wifes name for a first jr. She held on to tables to make it to the awards table and back. Once again that same ladie spoke with my wife trying to calm her.WE dont know her name, but she said her husband was a past pres. Are YOU that lady if so are you coming to binghamton?? want to thank you.
