New Bugle Rocks!

Just wanted to give a great, big <span style="font-weight: bold">"WOW"</span> to the folks who put together the "Buick Bugle." The new format and color is a big change for the better. I don't mind the step down in the thicknes of the paper to get the quality of content we're starting to see.

Kudos!

You beat me to it Matt... Color ads for the cars for sale, Color pictures for some of the articles and new lyout and fonts.

I like it !!!

Good job go to Mike and Nancy for pushing this change and kudos to the BOD for making it.

Plus it saves 33K yearly.

I concur, Matt! WOW!!! Of course, those colorful '56s are part of the WOW! too.

I haven't read through the whole thing yet, but it looks great! It's been a "journey" of sorts, but it looks like the stellar product we all desire has -- with the work of Pete Phillips and all others involved -- been achieved. Great articles!! Great layouts! Great color! The plastic mailing bag is a nice touch, too!

To me, it's always good when the graphic artist is in the same general locale as the Editor. A trip down the road can help fix things that can't be done over the phone, plus proofing too. Looks like a great combination! Plus having a printer that handles so many other national level car club publications.

Thanks and appreciation to all who orchestrated the upgrades!

I agree with the positive comments above. I look forward to the Bugle now more than ever.

The "Ask the Buick Advisor" feature has been a great addition to the Bugle, and I have certainly enjoyed Don Bent's continuing series on the Flint factory site. It was great to see the update on the Buick Heritage Alliance in the June issue.

The new Bugle does rock! All of the changes this year have made it a much better, readable magazine than before. You can tell how much editor Pete Phillips loves Buicks, with every word he writes! I love the theme issues, and color is just the icing on the cake! I always looked forward to my Bugle every month, now more than ever!

I just received my Bugle, and must agree with all the others! Pete and his new crew are putting out a first class publication.

This may be the item needed to get some of the old members back, and entice some new ones.

CONGRATULATIONS ON A JOB WELL DONE

Adam, it must be the post office that is causing the problem, Ed Keil got his Tuesday, but Pete hasn't gotten his yet. Road Island, Canada and Texas all have theirs, so, it must be the individual post offices that are causing the problem, Paul

Paul, it's got to be the local PO, if it's still like it was, they have 10 days to deliver from when it is turned over to the USPS,at the shipping point, so they dilly dally around. There are at least 4 members, maybe more in my zip code that have had delays in getting their Bugles in the past months, so will check with them this time again, and see when we all get ours. Then we have some ammunition with the local PO, The Old Guy is only 4 miles away, but he has a different zip code, smaller community than where I am at... lots of apartments and stuff like that in my area.

I'll agree with the kudos...I too haven't finished it yet...still thinking of what I could do with my '56 now (there's been a customized one show up this year locally...kind of neat, but not really my thing). I was wondering why I hadn't already seen a thread started on it.

Congrats to Pete, the National Office, and thank you to the new publisher. Things look great and I'm looking forward to it continuing.

IF the magazine gets to you without the new clear plastic wrapper on it, you'll KNOW if somebody has been giving the magazine a "demo drive" before it got to you. I suspect you'll agree that it was worth the wait

Hopefully, one of the sorting machines didn't "eat" it!!!! In which case the Post Office might send the remains (in another plastic bag) and a note of apology.

Just some thoughts,

MY 2c.......

I received my "New Bugle" in the new plastic bag totally un-molested. First time in 4 years my issue didn't look like it was run over by a truck.

Thanks to all that made this possible.

Hoorah!!!
