I was a tom boy with a nice figure <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />. When I met my husband the cars and toys stopped. I cried when I got my 1st "4-door" though it was a Bonne SSE. But after 11 years of giving of myself and a really very bad summer, I had a selfish moment at a auction in Sept. It has been a great joy to own and drive. I'm not really sure why I bought it, but I always thought they were really nice looking cars when they came out. My ex brother in law owned one when they first came out and a few years later he hit a deer on a country road in Oxford, Michigan and the air bag deployed and he ended up hitting a tree. I'm not sure if the car was totalled. Anyway, I thought about the Reatta one day and was surprised how affordable they were, and bought one locally with 110K on it. I'm 51 and have owned some fun cars in the past, including Triumphs,Corvette, and just bought a 60 Chevy Apache C10 pick up a week ago. I do enjoy the Reatta, it had a few minor issues when I bought it, but they're corrected now. I saw the '89 on a dealer lot and fell in love with it. I got the '91 in 2005. I plan to own a Reatta as long as I can keep it running and get parts.Jack91, don't feel bad about admitting that you're 84. We'll all be there eventually if we're as lucky as you. It was high mileage (174k ) and priced reasonable. I thought it would be an opportunity to see if I liked the Reattas. It's been a great car with few problems and I now have 219k on it. I was VERY fortunate to locate one close to home within about 18 months and sold a Stingray to make room for it. Bad enough restaurants automatically give me senior discounts, the forum seems to be doing it also.Have sixish vehicles here at the moment, two Reattas (one of each major food group), a Fiero, TranSport, and Judge from Pontiac, and a mobile guest room also built in Pontiac (strangely enough it is 21 feet long and has the smallest engine).Looking for a new companion since now 3S. It went from a daily driver to something I only take out when it's nice and I want to turn some heads...although I will say that old ladies really love this car, which wasn't what I was going for but is still appreciated. No mechanical issues with it whatsoever after appox 5000 mi. - but it could use some cosmetic work. As they say on ebay FB "would buy again" ! But interior is great other than the display on the touch panel won't light up. In short - I have wanted one since I saw them at an autoshow.
