John_S_in_Penna
I'll say something to compliment the flipper: --He sounds like a Chrysler dealer who must love the old models, and likely Chrysler history. --The car previously hadn't been run in a few years. It sounds like he took care of mechanical needs. --Even after doing some work to the car, his mark-up appears to be reasonable. It appears to be a good car, still realistically priced.

Interesting and I agree with your assessment of the dealer, who has done this car a service and probably just added a tiny sum to his costs. I really doubt that Chrysler's plan of reintroducing the Airflow name as an electric vehicle will boost interest in this car. Chrysler is in a tough spot as they have one of the smallest market shares of and of the many brands held by their parent company. They could easily go the way of Oldsmobile.

John_S_in_Penna
20 hours ago, jp1gt said: I hate flippers I think the kind of flipper that JP1GT loathes is the kind who does nothing to the car and then tries to double the price. Such actions do nothing for the hobby and simply take the car out of the budget of most people. Examples such as this Airflow show the high regard that service and fairness, in contrast to greed, bring to any re-seller. 2
jp1gt
When people buy a car, even if they do some work on it,and then resale it that makes it more expensive and maybe out of the price range for someone that really likes the car and wants to keep it. My opinion and it will not change. Edited June 30 by jp1gt (see edit history)

My opinion and it will not change. We live in a free market society. Anyone, flipper or restorer/future caretaker had the opportunity to purchase this auto. If someone wants to take a chance on making a few bucks buying low and re-selling then more power to them. There are lots of cars (in fact most all of them) that are already out of my price range and I am not bitter.

69merc
This dealer is not far from me, and he puts on an annual Mopar car show. He's a good egg, and I would feel safer buying from him than a flipper. For the record I'm not bitter or unhappy 😀

On the other hand you don't have to buy from a flipper , its not a piece of bread or food but a luxury thing you buy .
