Tom Boehm
I am looking for a source of rubber exhaust hanger strap material. This stuff is 1/4" thick or more and has string reinforcing in the rubber. I don't want holes in it. I want to cut my own to reproduce the original that broke. hddennis
Tom, the majority of exhaust hanger rubber on our era vehicles was made from old tire sidewalls. Howard Dennis

Tom Boehm
Hello Dave, that is the right material but I need a strip about 10" long. The ad mentioned that it was made from old tires as in the first response by Howard Dennis.
60FlatTop
You can check universal exhaust hangers at a local auto parts. If they have something close just cut the ends off and use the material.

This is a perfect match for the original body-to-frame rail mounting pads on my various Mopars.
ILIKECARS53
Try Waldron's Exhaust. They sold me some a while back when I did the exhaust on the Buick. But I bought the whole system from them.

Tom Boehm
Waldron's was a good idea. I ordered a strip from them for $15. Thanks
raysgraham
If you are close to a Quarry they use that type of rubber on the conveyors . It usually gets worn in the center and the outside is in very good condition (about 32" wide and 50 to 100 ft long) stop by and ask for a strip of it at the shop of the sand and gravel company. Very strong stuff
dodge28
A piece of old tire from the side wall. Wet the knife frequently while cutting. Use a hot iron to burn holes.
