DrumBob
Well, put on your blue suede shoes. That's an Elvis-mobile for sure. Love it. You will definitely attract serious attention everywhere you go in that car.
deac
Write Mary Kay on the doors and let your wife drive it. Nice car but I can't let myself be seen driving a pink caddy!
kingrudy
Beautiful car, I would have to get used to the color. If I was in the market for a 1956 Cadillac, this car would be on my short list. That said, I do think the color will hurt the sale. GLWTS
The 55er
Not nearly enough meaningful photos. I look at these cars for sale ads and sometimes the pictures look fresh and other times the pictures look like they're 20 years old. I'm thinking this might be a flip and all that money was spent on the $5K wake-up after some long storage. I mean who mentions that their car has 18K gold lettering that is stock? The exhaust outlets inside the bumper are NOT stock and look like a homemade set-up. Still a nice car but maybe not $55K worth. More current pictures please, it's possible that child may have graduated from high school by now.
John_S_in_Penna
It's reasonable to assume that the asking price is 55,000 Canadian dollars. That would bring it better into the realm of reality. The "18-karat gold" is only plated. That amount of actual gold is negligible. Electroplating, among the thinnest, for example, is two-millionths of an inch thick! Overall, it looks like a very good car, once the pricing matches the market. What do others think it is really worth?
suchan
Nice car, although an engine bay shot is conspicuously missing. For me, 1956 is the best of the mid-fifties Caddys. I like Mountain Laurel, but gold emblems on Mountain Laurel makes me think of solid gold toilets. Decent CdV’s seem to be in the $35K range; what’s the current exchange rate?
DrumBob
Cute baby at the wheel, but once again, those stupid fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view. Lose those.
bryankazmer
I had a car that "literally stopped traffic" too, at least until I got it to keep running.
Fossil
I figured there would be a bound and gagged Flamingo in the trunk. I guess the fuzzy dice will do.

JamesR
Didn't Elvis give his mom a pink '56? Something like that. Love the car. It's so cool!! I always loved how the front wheel wells only went as high as the trim spear.

That's an esoteric car for someone a bit well-healed, who loves rockabilly music, 50's pop culture and Elvis. The average Joe on the street wouldn't be caught dead in it, so no shock that he's dropped the price. He probably got zero response to his ad. You'll see the price go down dramatically now.
