Twisted Shifter
IMHO, priced about $20,000 too high.

avgwarhawk
Price is high. Radiator needs a looking at.
The 55er
Waaaay too high, makes the sharp two-tone green 1955 Chieftain sedan from MN that was posted four days ago look like an even better deal. The 1955 has a 287 V8, the 57 has a 347 V8. Other than that, they're very similar cars.
kingrudy
Just what I have always wanted, a $25,000 project that will be worth $15,000 when I'm finished with it. Why not just step out into the backyard and burn $10,000 and save yourself the headache.

I agree, but to me, that's a good reason to pay less for ordinary four door Chevy's...not a good reason to pay more for ordinary four door Pontiacs. I do like this Pontiac - as well as all other old four door sedans - but I think he'd have a hard time moving it at even half the price.
deac
I have a 57 with the same paint scheme. However mine is a 2 door hardtop aka Catalina and it has a 4 bbl Carter AFB. Umm that $24,900 price would be a rock bottom price for my car. This is a 4 door post with a 2 bbl Rochester carb and maybe worth $9500. Where are the interior and undercarriage photos. You can assume that the car needs work and probably a lot of work.. it seems to have the optional power steering but the top of the air cleaner and silencer are missing. Yeah I have become very well versed in 57 Pontiacs! Edited November 25, 2022 by deac (see edit history)
TerryB
The top material of the back seat looks to be gone and lots of stuffing sticking out.
Sal Hepatica
This car would be well bought at $4500.... tops. This is a base model Chieftain 4 door, after all, with dog dish caps to accentuate the point.

deac
This is a 4 door post Chieftain. The price is in the ball park but still a couple thousand too high. Edited June 13, 2023 by deac (see edit history)
EmTee
I think the color and originality help offset the 4-door sedan body style. Still, they're seeking coupe money...

deac
It seems the seller doesn't want to admit this is a $10,000 car. Edited July 5, 2023 by deac (see edit history)
