NC-car-guy
Casually looking for a 2dr W body Regal. May also entertain an A body century, H body lesabre, c body electra, or e body riviera. No white/grey. Bonus for red, especially the interior. Must have the 3.8 and be in good to very good condition. Will use as my daily. (Love my F350 but it can be a little cumbersome around town)
Jolly_John
I've noticed this is starting to become a very popular body style among car guys these days...tour cars, around town cars, especially if the model is dressed up some from the factory. dship
IMHO I'd go with either a 90/91 Reatta or a late 7th generation Riviera (90 thru 93) ...both models have the indestructible pre-OBD1 3800 V6.
Bloo
In my opinion, the C body Electra (late 80s) is the best car on that list. The Olds 98 is almost the same car. Edited February 14, 2022 by Bloo (see edit history)

I assume you're talking about the "malaise" of the 1970's, but the Regals I thought were the "A" body. After the deep recession ended around 1983, there was no more malaise. The economy and country excelled and thrived!
NC-car-guy
Late malaise runs up to 93 in my head. But the body styles mentioned are really 86-93.
John_S_in_Penna
Those Regal coupes (1988 and beyond) are good looking, in my view. Here's a picture from the internet so that everyone knows:

John_S_in_Penna
Matt, I checked with a local man who is a car hobbyist. It just occurred to me that he had had one for sale--in a fairly bright blue, with around 30,000 miles. However, I just called him, and he sold it at Spring Carlisle.

MRJBUICK
I love my Reatta but I get the conversation on too small 1 had an 88 park ave for a bunch of years as a daily driver absolutly loved it, mine had the balance shaft motor that was later 88 and improved trans never had a problem with it (put trans's in a 85 lesabre and 87 lesabre). gave it away with 145K on it and the new owner put a bunch on it just watch the brake lines they rot out especially by the rear wheel but again have looked at a couple over the years after none were as nice as mine and they have a great trunk we had an 88 W Regal i didnt much care for, but it was a 2.8 and base car a guy in our club has a 3.8 Regal GS with 2+2 seating and loves it Marty
