64 Frame

Does anyone have a need for a frame? It would still have some body, full exhaust system attached to it and the suspension. I'm coming to the end of stripping my parts car and really hate to send it to a scrap yard if someone needs a frame for their car. The frame is very solid and originally a California car. Honestly didn't want to strip the car but sometimes you have to make the tough choices.

Cheers

Don't need the frame, but could use information as to the exact location of the transmission crossmember bolt holes into the frame.  I think there is also a hole that part of shifter inserts through a bushing.

Still toying with the idea of putting a ST400 in my 63.  Have the parts, except for the starter.

I just put this info in my thread.....the trans mount is exactly 6" back from the Dynaflow from center of mount to center of ST400 mount.

1st Riv.....pm sent.

Thanks.  Is it centered on the frame?

Zimm, I was measuring the engine/trans combos as I pulled a 401/dyna and sourced a 401/st400 to go into the car. Im assuming but pretty sure they are centered as the driveline has to go thru the center of the frame, which is center.

There is very little difference in the two transmissions when you are driving around. I had my Dynaflow rebuilt in the Spring and there was no significant cost difference. I have both.

I meant up and down, not side to side.  As in the hole is in the middle of frame rail, top to bottom.

I have the new rubber cushions for them though.  I'm also looking for six of the shorter exhaust manifold bolts.  I thought that I tagged and bagged everything better than I did.  Either I'm finding old extras and cannot find the stuff I took off or I'm worse than I remembered.  I also misplaced my French locks but if i dont find them, I know that they are being reproduced.

Thanks,

Ed

Didn’t know another way to describe them.  Except for the back two ports on the left side, I need 6 ( only picture I could find shows 8 ) of these for the other 6 ports.

I also need 4 of these individual locks for the last 2 ports on the left side.

Tom, I was looking for something for another ROA member and found my missing locks and bolts. 😁 Thanks for your offer.

Ed

I was betting that they'd show up right after you opened the package from Tom!  ;)

I wish you were closer, I could really use a spare frame.
