1955 Buick Century, 4 Door Sedan

Most, if not all of these parts can also possibly fit years 54 and 56 Buick Sedans.  Check for compatibility.

Please also note that I don't plan on keeping these parts for long if they do not sell.  Parts are priced very cheaply for this reason.

If nothing else, hold onto the temperature gauge and door locks if they don't sell.  They don't take up much room, and both are prone to failure, but the temperature gauge will be particularly hard to find when someone needs it.

@Kosage Chavis, so the temperature gauge does not fit your car?

No Sir.  The gauge that I am selling only fits Supers and Roadmasters.  On the parts car, the original temp gauge was broken.  So, a previous owner took the gauge (that I am selling) and installed in place of where the clock goes.  That's how I wound up with this thing.

lancemb gave me a head's up about this gauge.  Will the temperature gauge work for a 55 Buick Roadmaster 72?  If so, I'd like to get it, if it is still available.

Yes Sir.  How are you @GrandpaJerry?  The gauge will work on your car.  Send me a PM and we will set it up.  Thank you.

Sorry.  I was out of touch for a while.  Lancemb told me about this via another network.  So I am new to this.  I became a member of AACA last year but this is the first time I used this forum. I am not sure what PM means but I expect it means Personal Message.  The forum won't let me send you a message because my personal count is not big enough, whatever that means.  I will try to find you on on Facebook and see if you still have this gauge.

@John Dino, I do have the set of rear door hinges.  The only reason why I didn't put them up for sale is because I could not get them off.  However, I am willing to try again for you.  It will be a little while before I can get to it because I will be on vacation in a couple days.  I will get back to you when I am back.  Thank you.

Sir,

I am repairing this car for a fellow car club member. Could you give me a price for the hinges so I can pass it along? BTW, the way I get those philips head screws out of the door jambs is with an impact screwdriver, such as this one for $9.99 from Harbor Freight: (Picture included below)

Funny you would recommend this.  I bought this exact tool for this reason with no luck.  I might take a cutting wheel and grind around it to get it off the door.  I will sell the whole rear set for 20.  But if I have to break up the set, it will be 15 for one side.

Soak the heck out of it with PB Blaster for a few days, then try the impact tool again.

Just recently went through a similar situation on a set of 52 hinges. As Lance says soak liberally and frequently with Blaster. I then used a Harbor Freight Phillips Head 1/2” Phillips Screwdriver Socket (comes in a set of 6 bits, $13.99) with my impact wrench and they broke loose. In the past I have broken a bit doing this but the HF set has a lifetime guarantee. What a deal!

I will take the set of hinges for $20, and I will pay the shipping too. Just to be clear, the ones I need are the lower hinges for the rear doors. Please let me know where to send the payment and how you would like to do it (e.g. venmo, etc.)

Not a problem.  However, I am going on vacation tomorrow and won't be able to get to this until I get back late next week.  I hope this won't be a problem.

We can do paypal.  I should be able to start removing those hinges today.  But let's hold off on payment until I get them off for you.

@John Dino, I tried my best to get those hinges off through bolt removal, but I wasn't making any progress at all.  So, I took a cutting wheel and cut the hinges off the door instead.  The hinges were not touched or damaged in any way.  Here are a couple of photos.20210729_175424.jpg.ae7d525321dc9288be2f1fd849344323.jpg20210729_175501.jpg.53d6c59d149a8f0eb579409e87e37f27.jpgI hope this will suffice.  Let me know.

Do you by chance have the plastic piece that holds the brake pedal into the plunger rod for the master cylinder?  It is a white plastic round piece that is split in two.  It hooks onto the back of the brake pedal.

Forget it, it looks like a 55 does not use that part.
