6T-FinSeeker
For sale on Facebook: 1949 Hudson Commodore 4-Door Sedan in Wichita, KS - $12,200 - Must be a member of Facebook to access the Seller's contact information Link: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/362432951566066/ Seller's Description: 1949 Hudson Commodore 4-Door Sedan Selling my 1949 Hudson Commodore. I am believed to be 4th owner of the car. It was purchased by my uncle in 1991. He owned it until his passing in 2013 and I have owned it ever since. It is in excellent shape for its age. It has had one repaint in the early 90s and it has held up very well. It has a rebuilt 308 cubic inch Hornet motor and 3 speed overdrive transmission. The headliner and door panels are new but the seats are original 1949. It's always been garaged and only has 67,000 original miles on it. There is a small amount of rust in the floor and one rear door other than that its very solid. It will need tires and a general going over to be reliable. I only get it out a couple times a year but it drives around town just fine. Too many other items to list here so message me with further questions. Available for local pickup only. Thanks for your interest. Edited November 2, 2020 by 6T-FinSeeker update status (see edit history)
B Jake Moran
I like this better than the two tone one in Iowa discussed recently. I'll bet you could get this one for $10,000.
auburnseeker
Does look pretty good. Seems if one wants a Step down Hudson 4 door sedan and has between 10 and 20 G, there is quite a number to choose from.
John S.
One of the great all time driving automobiles from any era. Hudson's are wonderfully built cars, that deserve attention. This Gold Commodore is a beautiful example of the Make. A good solid Hudson at this price is a nice deal. John
Ed Luddy
Such great interior style! Hudson's of this era must have used the highest quality fabrics available. They seem to outlast most others of the 40's and 50's
roysboystoys
The velour door panels and seat back isn't close to original. To bad , rest of car is very nice, still a great price if it checks out as good as it looks.
B Jake Moran
I agree the door panels are not right but i could live with them or replace them during winter down time. Angles on the door panels are such that if an owner sourced the correct material from SMS a person could probably do them himself.

Hudsy Wudsy
I had a gold '49 Super Six Brougham decades ago. The factory gold color was very "brassy" and far less attractive than this one. You won't find many original dashboards as nice as this one, either. Fossil
I don't even like the looks of these cars but in this color it is very attractive. Kind of surprised as to how much I like it. Beautiful color.
JamesR
Wow, what a beauty. The best looking year, IMO. 1949 was the year my parents were married, so I guess I'm biased. Looks like someone got a great classic car.
