When did Chrysler first use a synchromesh transmission ?

   "        "         "            "      "      hypoid gears in the rear end ?

Will make a difference in lubrication requirements.   -    CC

I use Tractor Supply GL-1 90 wt. gear oil in my '31 C Chrysler Imperial (CG).

Use the same stuff in the rear end.

On my 29 Dodge Bros truck I used “Stream Oil”. The 90 wt oil leaked thru bearings. The Trans doesn’t have seals.

The OP is in Chili.

Where is he supposed to find "stream oil" ?

Got a trade name or source for it ?

I doubt they have too many NAPA stores down there.

Or maybe he could order it from Amazon ???????????????

Being so close.

Any place that sells oil for Ford Model A would have 600W which is a steam cylinder oil.
