Guest
Oh, I didn't know that. The CH coupled with the sign in the background made me think it was China.
Gary_Ash
I don’t think there are bananas and palm trees, as seen in the background, growing in Switzerland. China or another southeast Asian country is more likely. Maybe someone is just using a Swiss email account - sort of like a Swiss bank account. If I thought for 1 minute that my $15,000 would actually get that car into a shipping container bound for the U.S., I’d be all over it. But, how do you cement a deal like this without a friend on the ground to check on the bonafides?

No need to get it from China, Asia or anywhere.

B Jake Moran
Famous last words - only needs a brake job. That is why these are available. Brake jobs and other maintenance on a RR is quite high.
Matt Harwood
Bill friggin' Gates can't afford to keep a used Rolls-Royce on the road. That's why they're all for sale and why they're less expensive than a used Hyundai. The current sucker seller is waiting for another sucker enthusiast to buy-in at the cheap price, thinking he's got a Class-A ride for pennies and won't his friends be impressed! What a bargain! Two years later, the latest sucker owner has spent $30,000 fixing his bargain-priced $15,000 Rolls-Royce and puts it back on the market looking for a new sucker buyer and is willing to eat the massive loss just to be rid of the accursed thing. 1
Guest
Agreed RC, there are many in the greater Los Angeles area for $10K or less. (most seem to need a brake job )
B Jake Moran
Thank you all, for adding your comments. I used to see these a lot on the Beverly Hills Car Club website (a common dealer most of us know) and did the same - wow I can afford a RR. There is a famous RR dealer that advertises admittedly nicer cars for sale in Hemmings.
mike6024
Chequered Flag International, 4128 Lincoln Blvd, Marina Del Rey, CA I used to live in an apartment near this dealer in Marina del Rey. They used to have a lot of interesting vintage vehicles. Not so much anymore. They have a couple Bentley and one Rolls at this time.
Curti
There is nothing more expensive than a cheap Rolls Royce.
Steve_Mack_CT
"Arthur dear, the man down at the shop informs me the brakes are gone on the Rolls. "Oh well Darling, lets go order a new one straight away" $10k on the shadow chassis. Of course, failing to stop is worse than failing to proceed!! 😉
Rusty_OToole
My favorite quotation on this subject comes from a successful businessman who decided to step up from his usual Cadillac to a Rolls Royce. A year later he said " I never knew what a great car my Cadillac was until I bought a Rolls Royce".
