Guest
I've been looking for a vintage 50's/60's Sun scope off and on for a couple of years now. Just because I'm familiar with them and they work great on these older cars. This Sun 1015 popped up on craigslist a couple days ago under the "Free" listings. Said it worked great and included the manuals. Dates from 1976, but I just couldn't pass it up. Brought it home, blew off a little dust, plugged it in and it works great! SC38dls
That’s a great score! And free, even better. Dave S

Frantz
Free means you saved it from the scrap yard too! Good stuff.
Aaron65
Great score! I paid $50 for my 1115, and yours is in nicer shape...and it takes up a little less space. I'm jealous!
Guest
The 1115 is a real nice scope (and two extra gauges!) Edited October 16, 2018 by GregLaR (see edit history)
60FlatTop
Back in the '90's I had an Allen unit that was similar. Somewhere around here is a Beta tape diagnosing a lean cylinder on a Caddy flathead with the scope. In the early 2000's I had a misfire on a supercharged Buick. I took it to a able looking shop near work and naively asked if they could put it on a scope. Never did that again. They sure are nice tools. Aaron65
I love this picture...I can't say I'm a genius at using the Sun as a diagnostic tool, but I've gotten to the point where I can read it reasonably well. Bhigdog
I bought the same unit for $150. It was fun for awhile but took up a lot of room. Finally parted out the unit and saved the bottom cabinet. That turned out to be the most usefull part....bob
