lasermo2013
Hi I recently bought this old carburetor at an auction. I believe it's off of a car that went by the same name as what's on the carburetor. The numbers on the side are No4 83240. I am wondering if anyone could tell me what year and model it went on and what the possible value might be. Also if anyone is interested please let me know. Thanks Henry

brasscarguy
That is the same carburetor I had on my 1909 Stoddard Dayton . It was a dog, while not worn out you could make it idle nice and smooth but no acceleration. If you made it accelerate no idle. I swapped it for a BB-1 and it ran like the devil. It became a pretty polished brass shelf item. I finally sold it on e bay just sayin brasscarguy

trimacar
1 minute ago, mercer09 said: ouch............................! Yep. Owner contacted me, it's for sale, but too expensive for a wall hanger. The only way to get big bucks for such a part is to find a Stoddard Dayton owner who needs one, and that market is very, very small before one even gets to the "need" part of it...
