TG57Roadmaster
Back when wire photos were sent on the drum-type facsimile machines, occasionally there would be a lag that resulted in some pretty funky transmissions... And to think, I coulda had a Veeee-Eiiiggghhhttt! TG Edited March 13, 2017 by TG57Roadmaster (see edit history)
K8096
The car is a 1935 Packard Twelve model 1207 5 pass. sedan. 139" wheelbase. Original owner must have wanted a large trunk for some reason and had the car modified when new.
nickelroadster
Another really long Packard is the experimental straight twelve that Packard built one of.

Guest
If you filled that trunk with heavy things you would have "power steering".

Xander Wildeisen
I remember seeing pictures of early Hudson's with a large trunk lid that would open up to be able to slide a person in. The car would have no back seat, and would be used like an ambulance. I do not think the top picture is messed up. That large trunk is there for a reason. Joe in Canada
It could have been specially built for the mob. At times they need a larger trunk for business purposes. Edited March 13, 2017 by Joe in Canada (see edit history)

It was built that way on purpose and not stretched by the photo process.
