Rusty_OToole
I mean the regular spin on filter as used from 1955 on up. I did a web search and there are lots of sites covering this topic but every one I saw was 8 years old or older. Is there any up to date information? D Yaros
Having been in the hobby for more than a few years now, I can truthfully say a lot of our folk put their trust in WIX filters. An sure you will get buku opinions on this.
Phillip Cole
X2 on the WIX filters. We toured their NC factory this Spring. Their quality control was outstanding.
Spinneyhill
How would any of us know which is the best without looking inside and doing some blind testing of filtration - minimum particle size caught, particle capacity, oil pressure drop across it, how well the bypass and pressure holding valves work and so on? This review is fairly recent! https://top10perfect.com/best-car-oil-filters-reviews/ WIX don't feature in their top 30. This one is dated 2012 and is by a Bitsamushi Evo fan. http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo-engine-turbo-drivetrain/637158-official-oil-filter-testing-results-thread-4g63t-4b11t.html This one is from 2009, so not quite so current... http://filtrationcomparisons.weebly.com/
plymouthcranbrook
I can only say that for most of my cars I use NAPA Gold(Wix) filters and have never had an engine failure in the least 40 years. Until recently I have used regular oil(usually Farm and Fleet brand) and only recently went to Synthetic in two of my 5 cars.
Rusty_OToole
I was in my local parts store today and they had Mobil 1 filters on sale. As they seem to be one of the higher rated filters I bought two. Thanks for all your input.
JACK M
I was in WalMart recently and was surprised to se Mopar brand oil filters on the shelf. Don't know about the quality but I bought a couple.
