keiser31
Late 1930s through the 1940s.
Guest mikeburch
keiser31 .......................That is what I was thinking. Maybe 1950s.Thank you.mikeburch
keiser31
Yes, maybe into the '50s. I would think that a '70s item would be plastic.
Larry Schramm
I purchased a similar one in the 70's from the dealer and it was metal backed and said Chevrolet. Edited September 1, 2014 by Larry Schramm (see edit history)
D Yaros
Definitely not a 70's era item. Given the lettering, I would place it at mid-fifties.
Guest mikeburch
I think that someone will have an accessory brochure from a particular year, to identify it.Thank you, everyone for your input.mikeburch
28 Chrysler
I had a similar mirror that was a dealer promo in a 1955 De Soto, clamped on the right sun visor.
Fleek
my stepdad always got a new Olds every year in the 50's. I remember either his 54 or 55 having a mirror like this.
auburnseeker
There was one exactly like it in the 1956 Olds parts car I bought for my car and if I remember correctly it was listed on the original invoice that was still in the glove box for the car, including the 500.00 car they traded in on it. (it's on my car now) Too bad it was a North east car and rotten because it had some neat paperwork with it and had been a one family car I bought off the son of the original owner. Great parts car as it was loaded with working accessories with amazingly nice chrome as it had been garaged and mine was a stripped 88.

Seldenguy
It is also like the one my 1955 Olds 98 Holiday sunvisor had. --Bob
Guest mikeburch
Seldenguy ..............................Thank you for your input. I had a 1955 Oldsmobile Starfire 98 Convertible (loved that car), but I don't remember a vanity mirror on it.
