I'm as new as they come and need some help. I collect 35mm slides and have run across several of old cars that I can't identify. Can anyone help - I can send pictures if I have an address. Currently I have 8 or 9 that I can't identify.

These are the one that currently have me stumped - they are taken from 35mm slides, and most were taken in the early 50's to late 70's. I have cropped the original pictures to include just the cars themselves. I can supply the dates from the slides if that would help. Thanks.

</SPAN>I can help with the 1940s and ‘50s cars but not the newer. In my opinion these are:

Photo 1: 1953 or 54 Chrysler New Yorker;

Photo 2: 1950s Fiat 500 or Fiat Topolino;</SPAN>

Photo 3: 1946, 47 or 48 Chrysler;

Photo 4: 1949-51 Lincoln;

Photo 5: ??? don’t know;

Photo 6: Opel Rekord of the 1950s or maybe ‘60s;

Photo 7: ???;

Photo 8: Left ???, At the right is a late ‘40s-early ‘50s Chevrolet truck;

Photo 9: ???;

Photo 10: At Left is a 1957 Ford Station Wagon, at the right is a 1958 Ford Sedan</SPAN>

Photo 11: 1953 or 54 DeSoto</SPAN>

9 is a pair of Ramblers. Left is a 62 American, the wagon is a 63 Classic Cross Country. Took me years to realise just how cleanly and nicely styled 63-64 Ramblers are.

5 appears to be an 80s Toyota Tercel; the tail of the car on the left is a 78-79 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

Photo #2 is very interesting. It is not a Fiat 500. It is either a German built Steyr-Fiat 600, or a Spanish built Seat-Fiat 600. Both models had the unique suicide doors that Fiat made models didn't use. Badging on the lower right part of the boot lid (not visible due to sun glare in photo) would tell which car it is.

Thank you all for your help and knowledge - I am sometimes amazed at the knowledge people have - and are willing to pass on or to provide assistance to someone who knows very little about the subject. Hopefully others will listen to those Whispered Words. js

Yes, photo #4 is a 49 Lincoln Cosmopolitan, the standard '49 Lincolns had 2-piece windshields.

I was going to say the Dodge Dart might be a '63. I was also guessing '63 on both of the Ramblers. The sedan is an American, the wagon is an 880 Cross Country Wagon. #7 is a '60 Lincoln Premiere, not to be confused with the Continental of the same year.

post-91734-143141961546_thumb.jpgGot the information I needed and much appreciate the help - hope you all are enjoying the beginning of summer. I have a couple of new vehicles I need help with and these are not the ordinary vehicles you may be used to seeing. These appeared in a parade in Hancock, MI in 1959. Again, thanks for any help you can provide. js

I am do not know what the one on the left is, the right looks like a WWII Studebaker Weasel.
