  1. Eric I am measuring across the widest (front edge) of the cushion on my '52 76R and I am getting 59" give or take a bit. Hope that helps. Gary
  2. I thought I had put requests in for two but don't see it listed. Count me in for two and make sure the beer is cold! Lamar we are going to miss you again. It has been way too long!! Gary
  3. The numbers you are posting are casting numbers. What you need for identification is the number stamped on the drivers side of the block. From this more can be determined about the year, model of car and where it was built. I am not near my books but if you post your number I am sure some one will help identify your motor. Might check out TEAM BUICK web site as they have helpful info for identifying engine numbers.
  4. Check out Fusick. They have the gas door bumpers. Did not check the license plate bumpers. Actually they have a very good array of parts for mid fifties Buicks due to compatibility with similar year Oldsmobile's. They have been a supplier for Olds parts for a number of years and only recently have added a separate catalog of Buick parts..
  5. I'm not a 6:30 AM person so lunch works for me. In the past there has always been people that could not attend due to conflicting/overlapping meetings. We should try to avoid that! Count me in for two.
  6. Thank you for posting. I have been aware of Paul's health issues for awhile. We met once in South Bend and talked cars in the back of my truck as the storm went through. As you stated, Paul is a very up beat guy. A SUPER person! Paul, you have been and will continue to be in our prayers. God Bless you and Mary Ann. Gary
  7. Thanks for posting. Some very nice Buicks!
  8. Very nice! Agree with the red wheels. Just curious. Are the BUICK letters on the hub caps raised or recessed?
  9. No pictures at the moment but more numbers. 8577 15X6 895 MW over 4 DOT Hope this helps Thanks for taking the time to help. Gary
  10. I have a friend that has 4 Buick wheels with markings M 4 and a 7 beneath and a date code???? of 8-24-WK, 8-10-WK and etc. Good driver quality with the black repainted and 5 very nice caps. What model are they for and an interpretation of the coding please. Value??? Thanks, Gary
  11. Sounds great!!! Makes me want to get the convert put and go for a drive. That will have to wait for a few days as the rain has set in and need to be a bit warmer!! Happy your problem is solved!!
  12. $1500 bucks ought to get it to Chicago!
  13. Love that interior? I am assuming that is leather. If so could I get a small scrap as a sample and the source for the hides? That is the color that I am looking for to do the interior of my '57 Special restomod. Thanks, Gary
  14. If I remember correctly Leelense's is/was a Tennessee company that made custom one piece lenses for '57 Buick's and other makes and models. Don't know if they are still in business. If you are looking for replacement '57 Buick type lense's, they are available from Fusick.
  15. Both cars are 471---gray cloth and ivory cordaveen
  16. Thanks Jim! Your door panels are indeed like the ones I have. The seats in my car have been re-upholstered in some funky tan material. What a waste! I have another front seat out of a car I parted. It has the black cloth insert. The trim code on my car is 471 which calls for grey cloth and ivory which is what you have. Will see what I get in the way of samples from the suppliers. Gary
  17. Thanks Pete This supports what I was thinking. Gary
  18. Robert Couldn't agree with you more! I have owned many cars and some were pretty quick, but never a true HOT ROD. Thus the '57 Buick restomod project. It will look like a '57 Buick and smell like a '57 Buick but will be a whole lot quicker! The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys!
  19. Application along the bottom edge sure looks suspect!
  20. SUPER (no pun intended)! Looks like a Buick but runs like a stripped a__ed ape! Thanks for posting.
  21. I need some help and clarification please. 1) I have two pair of door panels and rear quarter trim panels from what I believe to be original cars. They both have no cloth material on them. They both are black and white vinyl. I look at pictures on the internet of 1957 Buick Interiors and it looks like there is cloth insets? Any thoughts on correctness. Same question as to the back of the front seat backs on a 2 DR car. Again I see pictures of some with cloth and some with vinyl. One of the Sales Brochures I have indicates the door panels could be in "custom colors". Wonder if that applied to material?? Thoughts and opinions Please. 2) Also what would the appropriate white wall width be for a 1957 Special? I believe that I have read 2 1/2" but cannot find the post. Thanks, Gary
  22. Lamar Thank you for sharing those great pictures. I was at Ames and was truly WOOOOOOWOOOOOED!!!! at the beautiful Landau! Even got my picture taken sitting in the drivers seat. And Mr. Bob Coker thank you so much for so graciously sharing and showing the car to other Buick folks while under your watch. As they say "It was a Good Ride while it lasted"!! Thanks again to Bob and Lamar! Memories that I will cherish forever. I hope the new owner will bring her out once in awhile for others to see. A marvelous work of art! God Bless Bob!! Gary
  23. Price lowered to $4995! If I had room and an understanding wife (especially the latter) I would be all over this.
  24. Jim Check out Fusick if you have not found a kit. I believe they have them. Gary
