Struts. There are a couple of guys still selling TC parts. AND there is a TC forum on this site. Thats where I would ask.

I have seen mysterious stuff happen like this when the vehicle is searching for grounds. The hood may not be grounded to the body, the body may not be well grounded to the chassis etc. An old guy told me once that "99% of all electrical problems are groundless".

1931 Chrysler CD8 Roadster Rebuild Diary
JACK M replied to Gunsmoke's topic in Chrysler Products - General
Looks to me that the fender bracket extends from the headlight brace, so won't turn. -
Had a 1960 plain Jane Ford years ago with no outside mirrors. I was helping a friend move with a small bumper pull trailer that I could easily see over with the inside mirror. State cop gave me a ticket for towing without an outside mirror. Just one would have been good enough.

You are on the right track. I have always been able to get that Allen screw out by applying a bit of heat. I do not recall where I applied the heat, But I do remember that I got the screws out more than once. Since now that Allan wrench won't fit, the reverse drill bit would be the next logical step. I would still be using some heat.

Not sure about 55, but the 60s Mopar cars rarely came with a passenger side mirror, and they are side specific. Often the drivers side mirror would have a remote control. The very few passenger sides that I have seen never saw any remote control. I got all excited when I bought a mid-sixties Chrysler once that had mirror on both sides. but it turned out the someone had put a driver's side mirror on there and it would not adjust.

Maybe some previous owner was a post man. I have seen similar.

I have cruised with the PNW region twice now and it should be pointed out that they do not look down their noses at other makes joining in. I have seen Packards, Buicks, Cadillacs, Franklins, even a post war Lincoln among others, all just having fun together. So, if anyone is curious to spend a few days in the PNW sightseeing the beautiful islands up there you should think about making the trip.

Another idea on window motors, I think it was Speedway that sells window motors that will work, but they will tell you they won't, because the wire harness is different. That was the only difference. I put four (there are rights and lefts) in my 65 300 a few years ago. I found this info on the C body only site. I will try and find the link. -

Probably not handy to you but all the good stuff. Old guys, lots of parts hanging on the walls and the place needs sweeping. They did right by me on a pair of stuck seat motors a year or so ago. Walz's Rebuilt Auto Parts (walzsrebuilt.com) -
Sweet ride.

There was a set of those on my 65 300 when I bought it. I took them off and replaced with original 14 inch wheels so that I could run the stock hub caps. The car didn't like that as they caps creaked, and I was worried about the hub caps coming loose and falling off. I was working part time for a hot rod dealer and a couple of guys from Germany stopped in and bought a mid 60s Dodge that had some billet wheels on it. They said that Germany would not let them import a car that didn't have original wheels, so we made a swap. I don't think these wheels are stock for the Dodge that they bought but are original to Mopar's of some year. The 300 still doesn't have stock wheels but I kinda like these billet wheels and they drive nice.

I have a very similar "clapped out" story, but i don't remember ever putting the top up. I do remember running a wire from the taillights to the battery so I could drive it at night. -
Yes, it's got some kind of diesel engine if I recall. Look here 1958 Dodge Fageol | eBay
