  1. Oh ya didn’t think about contacting him on this vehicle but good idea. I chatted with him briefly about my Champaign edition scout on some things. Thanks for the idea here. I am curious to see how many other early metro owners out there there are
  2. Looking to meet other D and K metro owners. Love to be able to discuss details in order to help each other out on our own personal restoration projects. Attached is my 1941 K3M. It was an ambulance during the war. I hope to get her back to her original color one day.
  3. I am looking for what I believe is for an early International Metro Harvester mirror. It could have been used as well on other international vehicles or just a generic mirror by dealers for other cars. This is as close to what I can come to recognizing one to be. Any info or help finding one is appreciated.
  4. Speede I don’t know your plans with the lens but I am in search of one. Attached is my 41 ambulance. Driver side was crunched during pick up by previous owner. It is a vehicle I am hoping to restore back to its historical glory.
  5. I’ll have to read in to that more. It’s hard to get pics to the model numbers and I know they had different postal set ups. I’ll have to reference years to the numbers
  6. Ya Jack that one has been around forever. Use to be 65k and now is at 27k. I think the way it was built made it tough to sell for her
  7. Is this the cream colored one? If so I’ve seen that thing. It has been around forever. It’s had some mechanic mods for sure.
  8. Can I inquire if this was purchased in PA? I’ve been on the search for one. I’ll confirm and say that this is an early International Metro headlight lens.
  9. Yea I have as well. There isn’t a wealth of info on them and I think people don’t know what to official call them so they get associated with dodge route vans. The Route Vans were a bit bigger in size but had a somewhat similar appearance. The postal vehicles are much smaller in size. I’ve heard Pony express as well but just another generic name for postal vehicle.
  10. Oh wow yeah that’s a pretty old post but great info in it. I wish mine were in the condition of his but life has taken a beating on them. They are funky little rides.
  11. Looking to meet other Dodge Fageol mail truck owners in the effort to help each other with the restoration project of these old vehicles. I myself have always enjoyed odd utility vehicles and some how I ended up collection unique postal vehicles. The Dodge Fageol is one of them. I believe there was a contract for 3000 of them but only 800 or so got produced do to financial issues. Love to hear what other enthusiasts know about these little monsters.
  12. Saw this is an older post, are you still looking for these demensions?
  13. Curious if any body knows more or has opposing information on the 2 styles of fender skirts used for early International Metro Harvesters. I believe they were only made for D2M and D15M models but maybe wrong and K models may have them as well. I was under the impression if K models had them they were modified by dealer to fit do to different wheel arches. Also curious on the two different types of fender skirts available on early Metros. There was a full flat to body style and a style where they bumped out a few inches. It is under my impression that they changed to the bump out style because the flat was too difficult to maintenance tires. It seemed most people would just leave the fender skirts off because commercial vehicles necessarily need accessory pieces and were more of a pain. 39 and 40 were the only two production years for D remodels. so I feel that 1939 was most likely the flat style vendors skirts in 1940 the second year must’ve been the bump out style. These are assumptions based on my understanding and knowledge Iacquired. I am curious on any contrasting ideas or information anyone else may have regarding these. Attached are the two different style skirts I have in my possesion.
