  1. If it is pulling to the right, look at your left front brake.
  2. Could be. The Austin 8, 10, 12, and 16 all looked similar, just kept getting progressive larger.
  3. Reminiscent of an Austin? It is an Austin! A 1940 to 47 Austin 10.
  4. Beg to differ, Craig. The Cambrian was sold only in North America and for a brief time was sold alongside Cambridges. As noted above our family car from 1959 to 1964 purchased from Fred Deeley Limited in Vancouver and it was most definitely a Cambrian. (Name was on the trunk lid.) The differences between the two models were apparently very minor.
  5. What is he doing? Is he double clutching when he downshifts?
  6. The Austin is actually a 1957-59 A55 Cambrian (our family car 59 to 64). Next to the upper Esso sign there is a 1956 Hillman Californian.
  7. Those little locating "tits" or tabs on headlights or whatever anyone prefers to call them have a name. They were officially referred to as "gizmos" in the instruction manual for the aimers I used many years ago.
  8. Grille should be chromed, not body colour, otherwise looks pretty decent.
  9. When does the misfire show up? Anytime or just under load?
  10. Anyone in the PNW going to the Langley Good Times Cruise-In on September 9th? Should be a good show.
  11. Napiers were assembled in Boston in fits and starts between 1904 and 1912, using both British and American bodywork.
  12. No one else? There has to be someone out there that can prove me wrong!
  13. As noted in another thread the hollow tree in Vancouver's Stanley Park is still with us, but it is on life support.
  14. Napier about 1911-12? Hollow tree still there - barely.
  15. Honestly George I don't find it difficult at all. No offense to you sir, but I will take the Citroen hands down.
