  1. Prefer a working unit. Budget is under $500. Located in southern NH. Thanks, Tom
  2. Hi Rick, If the deal fails with Ken, I would like to be next in line. Thanks, Tom
  3. Is that an alternator, instead of a generator that I see?
  4. Dave, if the deal fails with Ken, I may be interested. Thanks, Tom
  5. Will, I have not purchased a vehicle from them, but would not hesitate to buy from them, if there was a vehicle that I liked, and fit my budget. I did inquire about a particular Willys with a plow setup - decided a 3/4 ton pickup was better suited for my needs. Did not meet the owner - just a salesman during a lunch break. As with any used car business - buyer beware.
  6. Not sure about the 364 , but some carburetors have a non metal spacer / gasket on its underside that helps to dissipate heat from manifold. Good luck. Tom
  7. If you are ever in southern NH, shout me a PM. I will teach you all you want to know. Been wrenching for 25 years, love every minute of it. Good luck, Tom
  8. Who, may I ask, is the publisher? I would like to research before spending my hard earned dough on possibly two of the seven titles.
  9. Who is the author of the set of 7 restoration books that you offer in your catalog?
  10. How does it do with rusty bolts and other rusty miscellaneous items? Oily and greasy bolts, etc?
  11. Hi gang, Do not have a current price guide handy, could someone please check the value of two cars for me? 1948 Buick Super sedanette in a number five condition. 1941 110 Packard club coupe (1485), no overdrive, also in a number five condition. Just to peak my curiosity - how about both cars at a number two condition? Trying to get an idea of a potential trade between the two, one for another. Many thanks. Tom
  12. Thanks Matt, I am going to repeat this question again to all: Is the trunk pan the same between the Roadmaster and Super? Tom
  13. Thanks Pete, I know about CARS, Inc. - they do not make it for the Super sedanette - hence my inquiry. I may order the Roadmaster rockers and shorten them. Thanks Bill, for the idea. Is the trunk the same between the Roadmaster and Super? Tom
  14. Looking for inner and outer rocker panels and a trunk floor for a 48 Super 2 door sedanete. I assume that the 46-48 are the same. Do they exist? If not, can one modify repop inner and outer rockers for the four door versions to fit? Thanks, Tom
  15. Early steam cars have no electrical ignition systems... It does not matter what you use in your story - the general population would not know the difference. As for the person riding up and giving us a laugh - Fred Flintstone comes to mind. Good luck. Tom
  16. Another thought - are the tires a matched set? In other words : Are the dates of manufacture the same? If not, perhaps the manufacturer used a faster wearing rubber compound in the different batch. Tom
  17. Not familiar with your Franklin's steering and suspension setup, but perhaps some useful info to use in your quest to solve your issue. Some vehicles from the fifties and sixties need to have the steering system pressurized while aligning the front end - perhaps your Franklin may require something similar? Do post your findings here if / when the solution is found. Good luck. Tom
  18. http://forums.aaca.org/showthread.php?t=183668 Search is your friend....
  19. It does not appear that I have what you need, George. Best wishes on your continued search. Tom
  20. George, Give me a day or two....will go hunting through my parts collection for you. Tom
  21. George, Do you have a photo or drawing of the rim clamp bolt? I have some bolts - not sure of the application.... Tom
  22. Regarding stroke: Is it possible to remove a spark plug, insert a thin wooden, plastic, etc. dowel rod through the opening and measure the fall and rise points - while turning engine over? Tom
  23. Thanks to all that have replied .... I wish they were closer!
