  1. The marking around the head lights look like a Buick mid 20's
  2. What kind of mass air flow sensor does it have? Is it attached to the intake, or is it black and round and in line with air cleaner to the intake? Also, a tech 1 or 2 is that scanner that GM has for vehicle diagnosis that will tell more than the codes in the car. It would tell the opeating data of the vehicle while it was running. The Tech 1 was for 1980 to about 1995 and the Tech 2 from about 1992 to 2009/10 It has been a long time, but I think that if you press off and warm at the same time that vehicle might have onboard diagnositics. You can scroll up and down the data list by pressing the temp up button.....I think
  3. Trying to remember. Does that car have passkey theft deterrent? If so I believe that that might be your problem. The key is not recognized and will start for a moment and then stop.
  4. I have one wrench that actually has the Buick script on it. There are other wrenches that are unmarked for the time.
  5. It looks like a center cap for the "wire wheel" covers in the 80's. Probably for a 88 model
  6. When you put the anchor washers in if you do, just be sure that they do not have any sharp corners. Rounded corners are good.
  7. Not a pick up truck on the second set of pictures. It might have been a commercial chassis,...maybe but I doubt it.
  8. Roger, I will need to get up to the car trailer and dig in the garage. I think that I still have some of that wood for that area. If I find it I will take some pix.
  9. Do you have a tech 1 or 2 scanner? One of the things that might be bad is the crank shaft sensor behind the crank pulley. Without a crank signal, the injectors will not fire. With a scanner you should be able to see a crankshaft revolutions.
  10. I would concur. Probably a 6 cyl based on the size of the lights
  11. Was the rule of thumb 10 lbs, or 10% from the highest to the lowest? I always heard of the 10% rule.
  12. Cast iron can be welded by a competent welder. I have a guy that welded the water pump on my truck and it does not leak at all and that was a couple of years ago. If you need help, let me know since you are in Mich also.
  13. I had thought I had heard of about everything, but silver painted plastic chains takes the award to date, :-(
  14. Where was my transposed brain. Read as grease cup #3.
  15. Do you have any pictures of what you need?
  16. I agree with the type of fluid. My old truck says 600 weight gear lube. Even new manual transmissions have multiple types of fluid/lube.
  17. I second the comment by Dwight on the wheel puller by George. I got one and it was great job and worth every penny.
  18. Does the top unscrew? If so would appear to be some sort of a grease cup
  19. Thanks for the info. Have not seen one of these before
  20. The far right part in 6 and the parts in 8 look like window channels for the actuator arms in a more current car. Like at least 1960 and above. The rollers for the window actuators run in those. Do not recognize the year, but look like GM.
