  1. I'll try to dig out my copy of "Ray and His Little Chevrolet " and post a pic here. That is unless you beat me to it !! ( It may be the weekend before I get to it. )
  2. If you were to sell these and need to ship. I'd look into Greyhound. They are the best kept secret in shipping bulky light weight items.
  3. The original Ampco units are advertised in Hemmings and Antique Automobile. They are the real McCoy. Depending on your hook up you may need the plate that goes between the Manifold and the Carb.
  4. I have been familiar with the three point split rim tools for many years. I found this two point Champion Rim Tool recently. Is there a specific application for this tool ? Has anyone had experience with this type of rim tool with split rims ? Thanks
  5. I could not resist this over the weekend. It is a two point rim tool. I have been familiar with the three point split rim tools. Not this two point style. Can any one advise an application or if these work better that the three point? Any additance is much appreciated. At the same time I found a very nice thru the Clymer wind shield spot light.
  6. West, Locally you might check the schedules for Montgomery Co Fairgrounds and Hara Arena. I have seen what you are looking at Toy Shows and Train Shows. Then there is also a possibility of finding at the Spfld Antique Show. I have seen a person selling old toy parts there in the past. Best of Luck in your search.
  7. That is only the 2nd GMC Suburban ( cameo ) I have seen. The other was at the AACA Grand National Meet in Dayton several years ago. I think it was the organgish red color. Great looking trucks !!!
  8. I have a set of these with three horns. From what I can gather on these they were an aftermarket item available for cars or trucks. They operate electrically. They horns operated off of an actuator in the canister in the middle of the horns. There is a cam operation that times the horns. I understand that the diaphram is located at the back of each horn. Becareful not to over tighten the adjustment or they won't work. If I'm not correct I'm sure someone will jump in there and advise. I can not wait to get mine working.

per the Harrison # it is for a 1942 - 1948 Chevrolet Passenger car. The filler nect throws me off however. All that I have seen the filler neck is in the center of the top. The 48K indicated Nov 1948...
  10. Thanks for the replies. Looking a pics of these suggested cars I have to agree. Now if I can ID the last one that would be great.
  11. Additional info. The script Stewart is exactly like the speedo Stewart script. These have a very slight curve them. If you lay these flat on the floor they raise about 1/8" across the length. ( I hope that makes sense )
  12. Any ideas what cars these rims may be correct to fit ?
  13. I have 4 of these Aluminum shields. On the back they are identified with "Model G" "SK1534" and the script Stewart. I thought these might be fender shields for the 20's - 30's era. Any ideas? How are they used ? 2 on a car? These measure 9-1/2" across the bottom, 8-3/4 across the top and are 4" tall.
  14. I found this "Auto Horn" made by The Dayton Engineering Labratory Co Dayton O. Around the Delco triangle logo it ways "Starting Lighting Ignition. The motor end of the horn is approx 3-7/8 dia. Overall length is 11-1/2" I guessing this was used in the mid to late teens. Any ideas? See pics attached
  15. I have seen these occasionally at swap meets. What is the exact wording and place on the lens that you are looking for on a replacment lens. There is a local swap meeting Nov 1 that I could look for you.
  16. 604088 - 1940 - 1948 Chevrolet All, 1946-1949 All Commercial and Utility. I need one to complete a washer unit for my 1948. Are you interested in selling?
  17. I can not make out the entire tag on the light. Can you type out what it says?
  18. What information did you find from the Cowl tag ?
  19. Hand in there, some of the regulars are returning from Hershey, they will probably post a reply tomorrow or Monday. What is the wood ? Most of the GM wheels like this were Teakwood. This one looks similar to a Corvair / Camaro / GTO wheel that I have seen.
  20. I checked my Hollander's 1920's to 1948....There are numbers close, but not the numbers you are looking for. Sorry that did not work.
  21. Looks like a Karri-Keen Trunk. These were an aftermarket trunk. They are great on cars from about 1928 - 1931. I've seen them on Chevrolet, Ford, Plymouth and I'm sure others. All the necessary parts are there it appears in the pictures on the car. The Bumper Brackets are very hard to find. The platform is a necessity also. I saw an advertizement once showing 5 milk cans being hauled with the trunk in the open / down position.
  22. Check with Less than Truck Load ( LTL ) freight carriers. They are offering some great deals at this time. In Ohio try ABF or R & L.....You may have to get it to a terminal or someplace with a dock.
